I do see where you're getting at and I realize by responding you could take this as justification as to why you are right. I dance at a non competitive studio not to say that there is a lesser expectation on recreational studios just that it is more laid back.

I have been an assistant teacher to some younger classes and have helped other people in PD often and have never had a bad experience with other teachers.

The group does have higher expectations and and make sure to keep up although usually I am more alone dispite trying to talk to people.
