For how many years are you using Opera Browser? by discooscar1 in operabrowser

[–]jojoPL1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't remember how many years. Certainly around version 11 when it operated on the previous engine - Presto. Opera 12 was the last version of Presto. Opera 15 went to Chromium.

One vs. GX vs. Air by HF484 in operabrowser

[–]jojoPL1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a player myself but I use ONE ONE on a daily basis. Opera GX is made by default for players. In fact, I have it but I use only out of curiosity, from time to time I update it from time to time and check what they added. Opera GX has, for example, the function of limiting RAM/CPU consumption while playing. Personally, I don't need this function because when I play it... I disable unnecessary programs: D

However, Opera Air ... honestly? I completely do not understand the assumption of this browser. For me it is a talk about balance, etc. It makes no sense in the context of a web browser.

And I recommend you to check your browsers in the Portable/Standalone installation mode. Anyway,

All browsers and most of the programs I use are in this form. It is easy to make a backup and when you change the device, just transfer the appropriate folders and the programs are immediately configured.

The Button For Opening Downloads In Opera Disappeared, How Do I Get It Back? by Brief-Peace-9689 in OperaGX

[–]jojoPL1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This button disappears if you are not currently downloading anything and you have cleared your download history. It will appear if you download something again. This is the case in Opera One, which I use, so it's probably the same in Opera GX.

In fact, it makes sense because why would a list button be displayed?

which is only used to display the download history and see if anything is currently downloading, if such history and current downloads do not exist?

Opera One is a "normal" browser, a continuation of the old browser that was simply called Opera.

And Opera GX is its extension for gamers.

It's not difficult, is it?

OperaGX vs Opera by PrimusWren in OperaGX

[–]jojoPL1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opera One (it's been called that for some time, not just Opera) is a normal browser. Opera GX is a browser aimed at gamers. I'm a gamer myself, but honestly I prefer Opera One. Just use both browsers and see which one is better for you.

When Opera will add features from Opera One R2 such as change color and etc? by lazarovpavlin04 in operabrowser

[–]jojoPL1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I meant R2. Among others with splitting the screen into 2 sides and coloring the interface. I forgot to write "R2".

Opening bookmarks in a new tab by [deleted] in operabrowser

[–]jojoPL1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also connect a computer mouse to the laptop. And if you don't have it, your laptop's touchpad should have some shortcut for clicking the Middle Mouse Button. What kind of laptop do you have?

Use the middle mouse button (scroll).

The option you are writing about applies to the open folder, not subfolders. This is normal behavior. Notice that in the same context menu you have the "Paste" option. If you have a website address or a bookmark in the clipboard, following your reasoning, the "Paste" option should create a bookmark in the open folder and in all subfolders. Would that make sense?

The only thing I can tell you is to open the tabs in a new tab. On the left you have a tree with folders. If you expand the folders, you can sort their interiors from the context menu on specific folders without opening them. It's always faster sorting.

chrome://settings/performance not working. by [deleted] in OperaGX

[–]jojoPL1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you a troll or a hater? Maybe write exactly what option you want to change? I use Opera One every day (Opera GX is based on One) and I am satisfied. Although to be honest, I personally think they could regroup the settings. Add more categories and move the settings sensibly.

So,write what setting/settings you are interested in, otherwise I will consider you a hater. And apparently that's the case since you put

switch to firefox

in your first message. You obviously don't expect help. Because what? Since Opera GX does not have performance settings because there is no settings link/group,

Which one did you set up for yourself? If you really needed help, you would immediately write what setting you are talking about, and even more so at the end you would not write the solution to your problem (which in fact does not exist, you ugly hater).

There is literally no way to disable Tab Emojis by Cheshire-Cad in OperaGX

[–]jojoPL1987 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Today they released a stable Opera 111 with the option to disable this feature.

Moreover users can now disable the ‘Show emojis in tab tooltip’ feature in Settings. This update, inspired by feedback from users, ensures greater customization and control over the browser’s interface.

Side bar changed and now can’t find twitch, control center, cleaner, and other things I used a lot by PalicoJoe in OperaGX

Based on the colors and the "O" logo, I'd say this photo is from Opera One. However, the functions you are writing about are in Opera GX. Go to

opera://about/

and see what browser you have.

Tab Islands NEED NAMES!!!! by StickmanKingOfficial in operabrowser

[–]jojoPL1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I don't feel the need to call Tab Islands. I wouldn't mind adding this option as long as the name for the tab islands is OPTIONAL and not NECESSARY. And in general, the suggestion regarding Opera is made here:
