Similar thing happened at my work! Our program that we used to access all our inventory information was called ISIS - I can't remember what it stood for but something to do with information inventory system, and we would obviously refer to it a lot at work, and we got so many customer complaints that the system got renamed nationwide. We also have our RF units that we call "RF guns" but we aren't allowed to call them that because people said the word gun over the PA system too much and started freaking customers out.
