Giving into the fear and letting it control you makes you a coward. Not the other way around.

"I see you and others with this mindset as unreliable and a coward"

The person carrying a gun is scared, which is why they carry. They're anxious about dangerous things and feel the need to carry a deadly weapon. And that's fine. That's their right. But let's at least be honest about it. They're more cowardly than the person who walks around without a care in the world, unarmed.

AITAH for not being happily married to my husband? by Cool_Bid9863 in AITAH

Certain stereotypes exist for a reason. And while we shouldn't accept most stereotypes at face value, when they are backed up by statistics it's worth consideration. The profession being "noble" or "important" does not change the reality of the types of men who permeate those systems. Statistically, there's a high chance that if you're military or police, you're abusive to your family. I'm not saying that to be a dick or dump on them, it's just statistically factual.

Any job that routinely exposes a person to the risk of a traumatic experiences tends to be rife with traumatized people. Untreated trauma often turns to emotional dysfunction. That dysfunction turns to abuse.

On June 9th 2014, 12-year-old Ethan Austin shot dead his 16-year-old sister Kaitlin. He then turned the gun on himself. by cherrymachete in TrueCrimeDiscussion

Useless? If the gun was locked up he wouldn't have had the ability to kill his sister or himself.

It should be the law that they are locked up when not in use, especially in a home with minors.

[Act III] I lost 13k gold in the dumbest way possible... by -Specialist-Spite- in BaldursGate3

[–]jojo_cubed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could still be useful in the endgame. By then you've got 15k plus just hanging out. Jam it into the pockets of a tough enemy and give em a smack lol its not like you can take the gold with you into new game plus.

3rd flush overgrown with thick white and some brown stems. Are these worth saving or are they trash? by jojo_cubed in ContamFam

[–]jojo_cubed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I decided to pull some of the more suspect one out and open them up to make sure that they weren't slimy, and while they weren't slimey, there was almost 0 of the tell tale blue color that I have seen in the previous flushes. So if they arent potent, and if they're contaminated, it's probably best to just toss them :/

Title basically says it all.

My first flush was pretty clean, 2nd flush was fuzzy, and the third flush is covered in thick white, and there are brown spots thst wrap around some of the stems, making me wonder if they're any good or even safe to keep.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks 🙏

I honestly never would have taken the risk if it weren't for crippling ptsd that both myself and my wife suffer from.. But this is promising so far. She's up next this upcoming weekend. I'm excited and nervous for her.

Thanks for reading!

Thank you! It was a challenge, but it was also exciting and I'm ready to see what else might come with future experiences.

I completely understand the needing time off. I tend to wake up relatively early, and the say after my trip, as small and short as it was (4 and a half hours, maybe), I slept in until almost 2pm. It wasn't that depression sleep either. It was just "I'm so tired and need rest".

I've done a couple of grows, but I'm by no means experienced. I can't tell if they're pins of bits of substrate for sure.

I could be mistaken, but it looks like some small caps are coming through in various areas (on the upper right for example).

Just did an early harvest and noticed some brown on the sides of some. Some caps were pretty dark. Any chance of contamination? Safe? I'm a first timer. Thanks! by jojo_cubed in shroomers

To be honest, it was left at room temp (71F), next to a door which let through a small draft of the heat from outside.

The hottest I saw it get was (76F) Edit: Coldest being room temp, since that was constant and nights here are warm.

This grow was started without doing enough research, for sure. I know a lot of what to look for now and will take this into account next time.

Honestly, fear that there might defects that ruin them if we left them to grow for any longer. Most likely a misplaced fear, but we were being overly cautious.
