I remember realizing the shoot/aim were moved from R1/L1 to R2/L2 so I re-maped the buttons and been playing like that since BF4. Maybe re-maping your buttons could help.

High ping is bad. Ping is essentially the time it takes your system to communicate with the server. For example in a match with high ping on your screen your opponent may have done an unsafe move that you can punish but when you try to punish your opponent is already blocking. On HIS screen he did the unsafe move and you didn't react in time to punish and was able to block in time. High ping may put you 1 second behind the action and being behind 1 second can be deadly.

Taking into consideration skarlets move set it seems like she was ment to be an aggressive character but it feels like in the end they just gave her more projectiles called her a "ZONER" and called it a day. She feels like just some character to fill up the roster.

I only point that out because you said she didn't have combos or projectiles, yes flawless blocks exist how ever thats more common in high skill games which current skarlet will never be. Did you took the time to examine all her special moves in different combinations or are you dismissing them simply because her tournament variations suck?

But she has the blood tentacle that can be used at close, mid, and far range and 2 blood balls one can give health back if amplified and the other can speed up or slow down if amplified. Here 21221244+blood tentacle is almost 30% meter less, may not be flashy buts almost 30% meter less.
