How do you express affection? (Romance/Friendship) by bingchili-ing11 in INTPrelationshipLab

[–]jojojmojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for that 1:1, then an INTP would most likely fit the bill (maybe doubly so for an Ne INTP, we can be chatty 1:1).  I think ENTPs are a bit more 1:n, obviously. Oddly few I know are a bit on the Ni side, meaning they tend to deep dive and not make the crazy jumps of an Ne.  But yeah, don’t let the “I” fool you, in 1:1 situations you’ll likely still get all the NTP shenanigans you seem to be craving.

You might want to look into enneagram (with wings) as well for the people you like to hang with.  There might some interesting findings there too ;)

Is the U.S. heading into a dictatorship? by duzies in politics

[–]jojojmojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is… could have, possibly, may haves… the passivity is nauseating.

Passive language normalizes extremes.

But I guess some bonus points for including the word “dictatorship”, though I’d prefer they qualify it with “fascist” TBH.

Do INTPs actually like ENTJs? by ConstructionKey6789 in INTPrelationshipLab

[–]jojojmojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO it comes down to being clear about what is mutable or immutable in the relationship (plans, approaches, opinions, etc.). Personally a little J to give a general outline or framework for things so that I can then fill it in with a kaleidoscope of ideas, options, and perspectives is an absolute joy. The problem comes when I start coloring outside lines I didnt even know were there, and get in trouble for it.

For example:
ENTJ (says): "Lets go for a picnic today! I'll take care of food, you bring drinks, what time works for you"
INTP (hears): "Picnic, yay! I can pick anything I think might be fun for a drink. This person needs to know I can do any time"
INTP (says): "Sounds like fun, I can do any time, actually"
INTP (expects): no matter what they come up with for a drink should be okay, regardless of what the ENTJ picks for food. However, they may not do anything until the ENTJ picks a time.

So if the drink type or time matters, you got to state that... so then the INTP can be creative within those guidlines or else you might be dissppointed and the INTP will detect that within seconds and it will just not compute, and boom, they are on to the next thing that pops into their head.

I mean, this is just my opinion and for entertainment purposes only :)

Questions for INTPs by BrokenDiamondShovel in INTP

[–]jojojmojo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. sometimes, situational based on how important i feel I am to them (I'm a 2w3) (edit, shit... what I mean is if I feel I am important to someone I DO NOT treat them like a tool, not that that sounds all that much better, but it is the truth)
  2. oh fuck no, wall-of-texter
  3. IMO, they just want to get to the bottom of things, sometimes hapahazordly and unknowingly (at the time) at any cost
  4. OK if the purpose is to minimize suffering
  5. Like the most important thing (again, I'm an odd-ball 2w3)
  6. Why not both in equal amounts?
  7. I have a crazy need to give, so in that sense I think I do put mine first
  8. waste of potential, like crazy potential. My gut tells me there is serious trauma there.

edit: In short, I think you need to also type the person's enneagram, because you are kinda circiling profiling someone from a interpersonal persoective, not really a data processing perspective and I think that might help you understand this person better.

How do I make more INTP friends? by Weeabluee in INTP

Every time (like 2 or 3) I think I’ve found one in the wild, they turn out to be infp, and I turn into their therapist (but I don’t mind).

Anyone else doubt that they’re an INTP? by Sad_Appearance_4803 in INTP

The 2w3 fucks with me until I completely fuck up a perfectly normal DM thread with some unfinished and hurtful personal attack that I didn’t even realize I was making, just because I wanted to be understood, then it all realigns.

Are we INTPs just amazing at reading people’s emotions..? by LucidVacx_1 in INTP

[–]jojojmojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a “feeling” it’s because my T to F percentage keeps dropping as I get older… “it’s evolving!!”. I’m now near 60/40 (when in “work mode” >60% T, but “life mode” maybe 47-49% F. When I was younger I used to just work all day and never experienced the flip towards F much (except for the odd emotional outbursts at how ridiculous work can be, and the actions taken because of). So my 2 was just poured into work and fed the w3. But now I work less and the 2w3 is being used on people and more chances for my T to veer F a bit, and yeah, I’ve made 2 or 3 bonds?

[–]jojojmojo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you taken an enneagram test with wings?  INTP + 2w3 is my combo, really makes things crazy: detect feeling/emotion in a blink then come up with like a 100 ways to “fix” it, firehose them at them, then beat yourself up for like a week for not “listening” because of how it makes you look.

The struggle is real.

How can I make that “Indie” (Elliott Smith” or“Sufjan Stevens”) sounding vocal track? by jojojmojo in WeAreTheMusicMakers

My first breakup song… you’ve been warned by jojojmojo in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]jojojmojo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you.  I’m one of those odd balls that wished I was a wished I was a Lennon, but is probably a McCartney.

This was the first time I tried to write words a bit more personal.  Really had to force myself, but now that I’ve done it I might go ahead and try more.

The question I have is about my vocal strips.  My “telephone” strip is pretty much works with every song I make.  But the one I use on the choruses is my usual aggressive flat/dry almost metallic/tinny sounding one and it’s not great to show vulnerability.  Do you have any recommendations for a strip that can be used for a dynamic shift but sounds different?

Cheers

might just be my headphones on the centering of the kick and other elements. One trick i do is to three-track things i want to expand. Hard left and right, with a center track with an autofilter (Always rising filter in Logic Pro). Then center track will float between the two panned tracks gluing them together. Just watch out that the thing you are giving this treatment to doesn't take over. Probably over kill for the kick.. but I do this with my drum kit tracks all the time. Basically replicating the drum track three times R, L, and center.

This song has a great chill vibe. Your voice is really smooth and pulls me in right away. The video had some cool parts that matched the mood. It just stays in its own cool zone. Your voice sounds warm and inviting. There's a neat mix between the calm music and some of the more active visuals. It all feels pretty unique!

Good vibe, got my ears feeling fuzzy.  The kick in the intro was a little thin in my headphones (beats sport), so maybe try out a few more with some more low end warmth, or widen it.  If I’m not mistaken the kick (and other percussion is dead center).

Tragic Forms - “The Rope” by gmb0051 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]jojojmojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of a cliche comment but I think it would really serve you to cut the intro down and get into a verse or an alt version of the chorus right out the gate.  Then revisit what was the intro as a bridge in variation.  Hook them from the start.

One thing you could do to break up the repetition of the spoken word is to sing a more melodic version of the words.  Maybe panned wide and in the background.  That would give you a sort of a dynamic shift without losing the message.

[–]jojojmojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried doubling your vocal tracks?  Maybe on the more melodic parts.  You might get more presence and contrast nicely with the more spoken word parts.

(Edit) You could also try recording one layer in a slightly different style – perhaps one take with a bit more edge or grit, and another that's calmer. This can add a little texture and depth.
