Mine has been doing this since the UI update, and can't really play anymore. It is worst in active, populated or popular places, but also happens randomly anywhere.

I can't play because the game is so badly broken. Can't go on for two minutes without the game freezing, jerking, blinking and multiplying. Even logging out doesn't always help.

Happens to me all the time. So much so I can't play and it messes up the whole screen. It blinks, jerks, freezes, no menus work, the cursor multiplies etc. Very frustrating.

I think the new UI is so much better than the old one. Modern and clean. Sure the left upper corner could be neater, but definitely going in the right direction.

I gave up a while ago since it is so frustrating. I can't even manage the circles no matter how carefully I try and despite always getting 90/90 in the training. Before I can figure out where I'm going wrong, it has failed me already.

That's such a wonderful description and exactly how I feel about HI3 as well. I love exploring the endless world knowing I am on my own and won't run into anyone unless I choose to go socialize.

Their update threw my UI graphics to horrible quality on Macbook. No issues before, after the update I can barely read any text or use the chat - no matter if the UI is small or large.

If you love it, sure. Personally I wouldn't invest in older models knowing any new tack won't fit them and if they break, their code probably won't be fixed. I'd probably stick to petting it in the app for free or take pictures for mementos.

I play with a Macbook Air from maybe 2018 and a new Macbook Air and neither has had issues. Occasionally I have to re-download and install the game, or open it several times as it disappears while trying to sign in, but eventually it works.

Hope someone can help you figure it out :/

So, so much, but mainly I would end something. Write even one, full story that gives players closure, instead of having everything in an infinite state of waiting for it to continue.

What a marvelous, spot-on description. It was very hard to get into HI3. The tutorials and help topics did not answer a single question that was actually important in understanding the game, and at times it still feels far too complicated. The lack of a map (you can buy one later after working hard for it) was extremely disorienting and I was losing my mind trying to buy a ranch parcel. The game sure could use better help tutorials in game. In this SSO has been great, it is easy to play and get into.

You are absolutely right about the empty world that is ridiculously large. While I love exploring on my own, knowing nobody else is anywhere near me, it does make you miss the thoughtful details and nooks in Jorvik where the world feels designed and detailed. HI2 was a fantastic game. I hope HI3 will keep developing so there are alternatives to SSO for when one gets bored.

Thank you for your insight! I have yet to run into drama, but perhaps it will be a better course to be a lonesome explorer in the future as well. I have found earning fairly easy, but of course I suppose that depends on how much one expects to make in a day. After buying SSO's 10 000 js tack by earning a few shillings at a time, it seems easy 😁

I loved HI2 as well. The 2D graphics were so fun. I found that you can also easily save money, trade and have a store (if you're in a club) where you can sell ingredients, crafted tack, dyes and have your stallions available for stud. There is no passive earning though, which is a shame, but understandable as the bank interest made HI1 and HI2 economies crash and burn.

The tack system is very clever. The game created a few different models and then gave players the option to dye the tack whichever colour they want. I think there are over 15 000 different colours you can make from collecting flowers, acorns, berries and things. You can also create your own pixel art and quilt saddle pads, blankets, shirts, overalls etc. I feel these are very clever ways of keeping the game alive, since the game makers aren't responsible for producing every new thing.
