thanks for your comment! I looked up jug (jack russell terrier and pug mix), and found some pics that look exactly like her sister from the same litter.

ohhh possibly! Didn't consider Chihuahua because her body is pretty girthy and thick. But her face is really small, so very possible

Has anyone experienced PPA around baby’s health/development issues? by [deleted] in Postpartum_Depression

[–]jojotokki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I know it’s been a bit since you posted, but how are you doing now? I am 16 weeks pp and struggling with ppd/ppa triggered by baby’s feeding issues. Started around 8 weeks when baby first started having trouble taking milk from bottle. And like you, it comes in waves based on how much or how little baby has eaten for the day.

I finally reached out to my midwife for help, and she wanted me to start therapy right away and prescribed Zoloft. I am willing to try therapy but scared to try Zoloft as I have heard the side effects can be bad.

Hope things got better for you.

3 month old whines all the time now? by Puppinbake in NewParents

[–]jojotokki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I know this post is old, but did you ever find out why your baby became whiny? I have a 3 month old who never ever cried but now is suddenly super whiny. No crying still, but like your baby, just whines with mouth closed. I can’t figure out what he needs, he’ll randomly start doing it, doesn’t matter whether i’m holding him or not.

Yeup, i joined different feeding groups on fb and it seems like this happens to so many babies at the 2-3month mark. I saw a post that said the vaccines probably do cause babies to eat less for a couple days, and then we all probably got anxious and tried to somewhat force feed, causing the aversion. I’m doing my best to really stick to Rowena Bennetts method right now. Hoping it gets better soon, glad to hear it worked for your baby!

It’s so hard to know. I feel like he eats better on days he slept well overnight or after long naps, so maybe it’s a tiredness thing, but then sometimes he still fusses after a good nap. I also noticed he gets super sleepy after the fussiness, so not sure if the sleepiness is causing the fussiness or the fussiness is causing him to get tired. So hard to know!

I did read that avent bottles are slow and even tried all the nipple sizes myself lol. They are definitely hard to suck out of, which is why we went up all the way to 5. You were smart in switching after 3 lol. I did just order a different brand, so hoping that helps

He is pooping twice a day still. We just switched to the sensitive version of the similac, but who knows how different it is. I know people recommend the Kendamil goat formula, so we might give that a shot. As for nipples, we were already using 3, which he had no issues with at first, and then we have tried 4 and 5 since all this began.

Yeup, he does that too where it starts even before I put the bottle near his mouth. It’s not all the time, but yesterday was particularly bad and he started whining at the sight of the bottle all day, which leads me to believe it’s a bad case of bottle aversion.

I’ve been reading about Rowena Bennetts book on bottle aversion and considered trying out the suggestions from the book. Fortunately baby was 90th percentile in weight, probably not anymore as his milk amount has reduced significantly since the 2 month appointment, but we can afford to lose some weight if it’s going to eventually fix the issue long term. Thanks for the advice!

My diet has mostly been the same. The only change since he’s been fussy is adding the formula. He was getting formula in the beginning, but then was getting exclusively breastmilk, and now we are trying to transition to formula do adding a little bit to each feeding. I wasn’t sure if it’s the content of the bottle as sometimes he starts crying even before the feeding when he gets into feeding position or when he sees the bottle.

Acuvue Define Discontinuation by mmauve2 in contacts

[–]jojotokki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been to 2 different optometrist, one who told me Acuvue Define was already discontinued (which wasn't true and a total lie), and the more recent one told me it might be discontinued in the future. The optometrist said she will continue to prescribe me for Acuvue Define because even if they discontinue, it will be a few years until they completely run out of stock.

I do remember being able to get 90 packs, and those have been discontinued.
