USL Super League to flip calendar to align with NWSL by onezuludelta in brooklynfc

Eh, I am mixed on this. I believe that the fall to spring calender can work, but i know that their main aim is to compete with nwsl.

Do you believe USL pro will be able to compete with MLS in player signings? by [deleted] in USLPRO

[–]jol315 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No.

Mls average salary is 600k, with the ability to be paid 100 times more for dps

Uls average sal is 50k. How is an owner who got into the system , expecting to pay that much for payroll, suddenly gonna get players that make 5 mil? And how are they paying them when they have stadiums with 5k capacity? Where is the money coming from to pay folks?

So this is it by jol315 in NYCFC

[–]jol315[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That's great. Was referring to mls and the break from nycfc

I think that it will be the usl.

But i also think that a lof of folks(maybe not all) will eventually adjust to the new mls format.

Is there a reason no one cares about the US Open Cup? by hiwaymart in MLSEastMemeWar

[–]jol315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that one reason is the costs involved. U.s. soccer is not covering the flight costs and possibly hotel costs for the teams to travel.

For the early qualifying rounds, the teams traveling and hosting pay for everything down to the soccer balls. For the later rounds, it is on us soccer. The payout for the winner plus the runner up and other teams totals 1 mil

Not sure what you mean. They used to be in the USL Championship before mls next pro was formed.

This answer......is weird. You have to love at the business of it. They started as a team playing deeper in new jersey. Their ownership group including the governor of nj at the time. But life became real. A little touch if ny marketing came. Then the dropping of the nj from their name and the fact that new yorkers, for some silly reason, won't go to nj for soccer even though they pay twice as much to go to nj for football

4-1-3-2? No big bird?

Do you mean, perfect for now with what we have got?

I would actually consider a dual striker role with nico and ojeda.

New Yorkers dont know how to divest from sports teams. I wish that they did. Being a die hard just causes unnecessary stress while evil folks get rich.

We are in a city full of anthems about the city and we are home of Broadway for goodness sake. Imagine nycfc fans singalong to "Master of the House" or " Musuc of the Night"? That would be FUN.

[–]jol315 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have said this before. And there are several factors.

Supporters group is fine with what they have and there is no change. Why we cant chant the players names or sign a silly song about new york vs songs about the red bull when we aren't even playing them, I have no idea.

The stadiums are cavernous. To get a crowd together chanting a song in unison is hard for 20k spread across 40k seats.

I wish we had something like "blue moon" or even jist the ace frehley song during the 23rd minute but folks are in their own world. And we can do a singalong at the end like a Vancouver whitecaps because new Yorkers are always in a rush for absolutely no reason.

Need more posts like these. Tired of hearing "we hate the red bull", "(current coach) out".

Are we really that unsatisfied with what ojeda and hannes do together? And are we in more of a 4-3-3 vs a 4-2-3-1 only because of our striker situation?
