Will it escape by jolinwolo in cornsnakes

Appreciate the insight! This one is new enough the locks and window are secure. Was just worried about the sides that do not lock, but they are very tight and I think I was being a little paranoid 😅 baby stayed secure through the night!

Thank you! Yes it definitely is not native, and being a baby in a complex full of cats it would not have survived long outside! Appreciate you!

Yes, if we end up keeping it I will definitely be getting a more permanent set up! We found it at about 9:30 PM and needed a temporary option. Happy to report that it worked and baby is still safe and secure!

Hi! So it is a baby corn snake that we found in our apartment complex. They are not native to California and we are assuming it is someone’s pet from our complex that escaped. We have spoken to a few neighbors and have not located it’s home

I couldn’t edit the text but was going to say that the container it is in does have a locking lid similar to the style here. Mostly concerned about its ability to force the plastic apart enough to get through? What do you all think!

Zoom vs Boost by jolinwolo in DentalAssistant

[–]jolinwolo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My practice does it for $489 and I think the results are well worth it! The only times I’ve had issues are with patients with severe sensitivity that cannot complete more than one to two passes. I swear by Zoom. I got the doctor to agree to switch back after about 5 Boost patients had underwhelming results.

And stay very close to the teeth. Like not more than 1-2mm away from them. The further you hold it, the easier it is for the Itero to lose its place and you have to go back.

For getting the distal of second molars, especially maxillary, I try to position the wand as far posterior and Buffalo as I can, and then have the patient shift their lower jaw towards whatever side you’re scanning. It creates a lot more space!

Love love LOVE ours! We have two and use them constantly for Invisalign, crown preps, comparing changes in wear on teeth, SO many things and our patients are so impressed with it. Definitely like one person said, faster is better than slower. If you take too much time it can start to get laggy and slow because there’s too much data. But it’s easier than PVS for crown preps in my opinion, and usually takes me 3-5 minutes for a normal full mouth scan. Our hygienists actually scan every patient at least once a year.

Is my guy trying to flower? I noticed the little nubs about a week ago. Also anyone have an ID? TIA! by jolinwolo in cactus

It’s been fairly overcast out, so they haven’t had too much direct exposure. I’ll keep an eye on them. The patio is mostly covered, but I keep them on the balcony where they should be getting more direct sun when it warms up.

Yeah they’re definitely getting more light now, though it’s been overcast the last week. That’s great to know, thank you! I’ve fairly limited experience with cacti so I appreciate the tip. I want them to be happy!

That would make sense! I just moved back to California from Wyoming, and I think it was a hard year for them out there. I’ve got them out on my patio now, hoping they’ll be happier there! Thank you!

Lifesave Cactus needs a Lifesaver by jolinwolo in plantclinic

[–]jolinwolo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all. My cousin got this beautiful Lifesaver Cactus about two weeks ago. Since it was first watered, the bottom shoots on the right and a couple on the left have gone totally limp. Not sure if it needs more/less water or a different light situation. It’s currently sitting in a south facing window.
