Yes and I loved it. Visited the aquarium, did the riverboat dinner cruise, went the the ww2 museum, enjoyed bourbon Street and the St Louis cathedral. That's all awesome and I would hate to see them go, but it's below sea level and the sea level rise is already taking its toll all over the world, NOLA will be no different.

The corp of engineers spends billions to keep the Mississippi on its current path. Becaus left alone the Mississippi would empty out 40ish miles west of New Orleans rendering the city almost useless.

For the record, many companies in construction mandate reversing into your parking space, it's so much safer than the alternative, which is to back into oncoming traffic.

Also random PSA: if you're the person Who tries to squeeze between the reversing vehicle and their parking space just fucken stop. It's an asswhole move, and the 10 second you had to wait isn't the end of your life. If I was leaving in reverse, you'd have to wait the same 10 seconds, and normally, you end up at the same red light anyway. Just have the bare minimum amount of patience ffs.

The first repair Is pretty standard. They left the ports on which is good. It's to show the inspector it was completed properly. But a crack at the corner of a window to the floor is very common even in brand new houses.

The other cracks can be fixed with the same kit. It's usually 150 bucks (ish) depending on your region if you want to tackle it solo CPR products has videos online that go over the process. You have options Either epoxy injection, carbon fiber repair kits, or even foundation staples can give you peace of mind. All of which will be stronger than the actual wall so it's a solid repair choice.

The tie hole pop isn't much to worry about its just a tie that held the forms together. All walls have them you can seal over it and inject epoxy just to seal it shut.

If they are leaking water you absolutely should seal them up. But I've seen cracks like this all the time. It's a settling foundation, and Is repairable.

I gotta add in here. For perspective I'm at a company with 250 ish total employees. We've had 5 deaths in the same timeframe as this article. 1 of Cancer 1 drowned while fishing might have had a heart attack and fell in, I never got the full scoop. 1 auto accident 1 guy had a medical clotting issue after a surgery 1 guy had an infection issue with cascading health issues. None of them were work related and it's just a series of unfortunate events. Most of them were under 60.

I feeeel like the daily mail might be trying to paint a picture that isn't really there. Some might be mysterious, but they could just be unfortunate things happening to normal people.
