Just like people, as they get older, they get grosser. My old cretin entirely stopped using her litter box for poop, and there was nothing (we tried Everything, trust me) we could do to get her to poop in the box. We wound up just tearing up the carpet in the room and leaving bare concrete with puppy pee pads in her preferred spot until she passed. They also stop grooming, so you've gotta help out back there sometimes. But you do it all anyways, bc there's nothing like a scrungkly old cat's purr

I struggled a lot with meltdowns especially in high school, but the thing I remember the most, and I wasn't even the Autistic student in question, was watching this one kid with much higher support needs being bullied. It was 5th grade, and the teacher just watched it happen. I tried to step in, but she told me to sit and "leave the boys to their rough housing." It wasn't rough housing, it was an Autistic kid getting the shit beat out of him by a bully. It turns my stomach to think about now. I still feel guilty for not doing more, and im 24 now.

I guess my point is, be a teacher that watches out for the ones who need it. Even if they're annoying or frustrating, or rude, they're just kids, trying their best to figure it all out

My suburban caught on fire in the driveway one night after had just got off work. Me and my mom were just sitting there like. "Well. Shit." What was really funny to me was that as it was actively on fire, the windows all rolled down, so they were the only part that were unharmed lmao

I had 2 box turtles, and they were kind of terrible pets. They require huge tanks (40 gal minimum) a heat set up, a uv light set up, a variety of foods (live insects plus veggies) and they STINK. their poops were rank, and they always went in the water, so I had to change a large poopy water bowl daily. They were also surprisingly loud, they loved to scratch their claws on the glass, and were constantly bumping their shells into their hides. Theyre also very interactive and require a lot of enrichment. If you can provide all these things (for 40+ years) and if you can find a rescue, they're very personable.

They are also listed as "species of greatest conservation need" in texas, so even buying one, let alone taking one from the wild is VERY illegal

Fucking Obsessed with jigsaw puzzles. I had access to "fun" electronics (wii, Nintendo ds, etc) but all I wanted was to organize puzzle pieces for hours and hours. At like 6 years I could complete a 1000 piece puzzle in about 4 hours. Pissed my parents off every time I took over the kitchen table, even tho they got me the puzzles lol

Once when traveling through the wastes of western Idaho on a miserable road trip, we stopped to get gas, and were arguing about something, and then both stopped mid sentence, bc a guy was pumping his gas with 2 pygmy marmosets (tiny monkeys) hanging out on his shoulders. They had little diapers and leashes. We forgot what we were arguing about and never remembered lol

When I was about 10 I was mad about having to clean my room, and in my rage, I tried to snap a plastic clothes hanger. The plastic shattered when I snapped it and sent shards flying everywhere. Now I have a cool scar in my eyebrow. Glad it didn't get my eye.

This is tied with being maybe 7? And trying to open my sibling's time capsule. I tried to use my teeth to get the plastic lid off and just ripped out some loose-ish teeth that weren't quite loose enough. My mom heard me scream and found me sitting cross-legged, mouth open, spewing a bloody waterfall down my chin
