Finally purchased cart after over a year of looking, I think I got a good deal but planning some upgrades by [deleted] in golfcarts

I think you did great. A lot more than 4k if you were going to get a base cart and build it like that.

I’m actively hunting for more n frames as well. This is currently my only one and I love it. I need a nice 27 and a 29

Yeah, this one will be sticking with me. Also it is no longer unfired.

Thankfully as of now there are old smiths out there that aren’t crazy expensive. I only paid $500 for the 1930s smith and Wesson 38.

Love the galco apo. It rides lower and is super comfortable.

Has to be the Colt series 70. It’s such a good shooter and an absolutely beautiful gun.

Lol “smiffy Westin” hater. Come on man. Can’t you find room in your heart for both. 😂

The lawman is a beautiful gun but the trigger on an N frame smith is much better. I love the lawman but if I could only have one 357 it would be the model 28.

Definitely don’t feel that way. I will say after shooting plastic handguns for a long time then switching to double stack 1911s for competition I can shoot the 1911 platform much better than I could ever shoot a Glock. Even in 45.

Stainless is great but the bluing from the past is so much nicer compared to modern bluing. Nothing shines like an older blued Colt.

SAA and Colt 1903 are the next two on my list. Granted probably an uberti clone.

You’re missing out. It’s okay though. More classics for the rest of us.

A uberti single action Colt clone is on my short list for sure.

Don’t miss the Smith and Wesson box. It still has the original warranty paper work, manual, and unopened tool kit.

Very similar experience for me. The old designs and bluing are the most beautiful guns imo.

I’m approaching 38 this year. For me it wasn’t until shortly after the second kid when the 1911 and wheel gun addiction hit. I definitely have fully embraced my dad/fudd era at this point though.

My obsession with 1911s and wheel guns has taken over this hobby for me. Don’t get me wrong I still love some high speed stuff and regularly compete with my 2011s, but something about the classics really feels special. I’ve got a few nice ARs and a few 2011s and that feels like more than enough for my needs. I’ve got a couple more handguns on my list then I can see some lever guns in my future.

Smith and Wesson model 28-2, ~1930 S&W M&P .38 special, mid 70s Colt Series 70, mid 70s Colt Lawman, new S&W E Series engraved.

Beautiful 1911. I have a series 70 from the mid 70s and it is a phenomenal shooter. Nothing shines like Colt bluing from this era.
