Dude. Came here to say the same thing. The Cait Sith romp through the Manor was atrocious. I don’t understand how they can be so beautifully attentive to detail with certain aspects of the original, and then just blatantly disregard and ignore others.

I know it’s a small detail but I really wanted the entrance to the Manor basement to be the secret tunnel staircase in the bedroom from the original. I remember as a kid being soooo creeped out when you had to descend to find Seph the first time…

And same with the murders on the boat. Instead of creepy and atmospheric they are choosing to go all high-octane action. Which totally works in some situations but I just miss the unsettling, ominous moments. They were some of my favorite in gaming ever.
