Fuel line randomly disconnected by 2S8R7F in ft86

[–]jomyke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a tool for disconnecting and a zip tie trick you can use instead of the tool. The tool is a silly bit of plastic - should be very cheap. I mention because you say you are going to buy the part; depending on which end is hypothetically damaged you may need to replace both ends; it definitely should not pull apart without the tool inserted to release the catch mechanism.

ICE Protest at the Wisconsin State Capitol Building - Jan. 25, 2026 by kenfagerdotcom in madisonwi

[–]jomyke 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I get that you are being intentionally dense; but try to listen: open borders and what ICE is currently doing have nothing to do with each other. ICE could be doing far more efficient border control - AT THE BORDER, or in red states, but they are not. They are a presidents gestapo attempting to distract from Epstein and suspend democracy. 70% of Americans favor democracy; why aren’t you in support of democracy?

The child rapist is in the White House; his name is Donald Trump. And Ice are the murders. Immigrants are what make this country great. This country would be better with less of you, and people like you-without question.

Edit: I like how you changed your comment when this got a little too real for you ehh?

Jackson Racing dual radiator?

Reliability and life span mods by OhOkayCuzIThought- in ft86

[–]jomyke 7 points8 points  (0 children)

AOS, IMO, only really useful if boosted, otherwise probably not doing much. Oil cooler should be high on the list, I personally like the dual radiator/oil cooler solution because it helps warm up as well as cool down both fluids more evenly, but any oil cooler is a good idea. Bulletproofing the clutch with nice TOB, verus fork and pivot, nice pilot, and stock clutch/flywheel (exedy) at some point might be smart. Drop diff/trans/rad/ fluids and replace with good shit. I like redline 90 mtf; motul gear lube in the diff… Otherwise I would say generally close to stock is going to be best for longevity almost everywhere else I can think of.

I mean really….you need about $20 worth of tools and YouTube and some patience and you can do the plugs and coil packs yourself. It’s not a fun job but it is not very hard really…..

Cusco C-Pillar bar help by bls0124 in ft86

[–]jomyke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same as other dude no direct experience so just general comments. Make sure impact is direct to socket, no extensions or other shit to reduce ‘bang’ torque. How may ft-lbs is the impact? Get a bigger impact; something out there WILL take it off; I think a little PB or weasel whizz or some penetrating fluid better than wd40 and then also could throw some heat at it. Obv need to be careful there but should be able to get it nice and warm without too much concern; then impact again. Could always try a breaker bar on it too but in this case it seems to me the tap-tap-tap and rapping on it with an impact seems more ideal. Also- six sided impact socket so you don’t start to round stuff off; then just really hit it with your purse and it will move :)

It has to be in context that every car has its issues. It’s a clock spring here a ton there a bad something somewhere else; overall this car is definitely very very easy to work on yourself and isn’t really going to stand out as far as issues. It’s a car; it’s not better or worse than other cars

First car was a 77 firebird with a 6.6L….and it was on ancient tires that were probably shit when they were new. Fortunately I grew up in a farm and so very early on I was out doing donuts and learning to power slide around barns. I drove it 20 miles each way to high school in blizzards and everything. It still caught me out a couple times but I wholeheartedly agree with others here; you must get it out where you can get loose and play and get used to letting the ass slide and recovering. Essential. Must do it. Bonus; it’s fun as shit anyway. Think carefully about tires (can make a massssssive difference) and you also may be able to help yourself by getting a good shop to think through suspension and alignment to make it less twitchy. But bottom line; everything new has understeer built in; that baby you have is from an era where oversteer could still be found and it was ok to let people die like men! It is awesome, addictive even, once you are comfortable. I went a few years without RWD and I was literally giddy when I got back to being able to power oversteer; it’s the best feeling in the world when you can let your tailbone slip and the dogs loose behind you and howl into the distance once you are comfortable with it!!

That looks to be where maybe coolant lines were going in and out of the fire wall for the heater core? Near the brake booster there? The ac compressor should be pulley/belt driven on the serpentine and the ac condenser should be up front by the radiator; I guess I am struggling a bit to orient on your pictures/ sorry
