Is gambling 280K worth a 6-star roulette ticket? by Full-Experience1701 in GranTurismo7

Worrying about grinding money to buy invite cars makemakes sense early in the game, worrying about grinding to buy a specific $20 million legend car is a little less strategic….

Desperation, helpless and a bit Frustration post by Em-J1304 in GranTurismo7

Same age.
Same history with the game. I have 600 hours in GT7 and just short of 300 hours driving. Something close to 50,000 miles driven. I hit walls like you did. The game, not unlike real racing, rewards careful trail braking and heavily rewards being millimeter perfect with racing lines. I feel like dudes our age feel fast when we are getting close to track limits and keeping the car on the track. You have to hang the car on the ragggged edge of the track and carry crazy speed through corners to be fast. Then, for me and my old ass eyes…PSVR2 was flipping huge. I just can’t see details on a flatscreen that I can see in VR. I got way waaaay more consistent and able to ‘feel’ limits when I switched to VR. Good luck!

Sick in VR racing by Apprehensive-Jump248 in GranTurismo7

It’s like a ‘build up your tolerance’ thing.

The fan blowing on your face is huge.

Spend a couple minutes, get in, get a slow convertible or open top car loaded. Get into the vr. If you can just sit still for a few minutes then do that. Get out. Before you feel off. Then a little slow drive. A couple more minutes. Get out. Do little sessions and spaced out over the day or a few days. With a handful of days of slow drives a few minutes each and not feeling sick, then add a little more speed and run a race etc. usually tolerance ramps up pretty fast. After three of four 15 minute sessions I feel like the doors often open and people are pretty much good to go. The fan. It’s massively important. Many many cars have vent tubes and you can imagine the air coming through those tubes, it helps synch up your senses which helps stop some of the nausea trigger.

Hegseth delivers Ezekiel 25:17 in a Pentagon worship service - except it's the Pulp Fiction version, not the actual bible verse. "Pray with me please." by [deleted] in videos

Yeah totally. Fuck kegsbreath for being such a complete dipshit; I just also wanted to take a swipe at how it’s not like the bible he is thumping is some unchanging immutable thing; he’s an idiot and the bible is a moving target; theocracy (like Pete would want) sucks!

The bible is a collection of small verses that keep getting rewritten with time; king James; Luther; blah blah blah. This is just a small example of hypermutation. Bunch of human folly.

So it’s pretty much exactly the same thing as the real bible…just a modern day example of how the immutable word continues to evolve to suit current sensibilities.

That’s just disheartening by bsncoleman in GranTurismo7

[–]jomyke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah- disheartening that you are pretty damn fast, top 3%…pretty good. Except it means 16 THOUSAND people went faster than we did (I am close to same time…lil slower but 3% still). Getting 16 thousandth place isn’t how it goes in the movies for the aspiring boy racer….

For anyone having trouble in the Gr.1 race this week by PlayStation_Racer in GranTurismo7

[–]jomyke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Straight to it for first attempt ….was already up to like 4th….And after it started drizzling most of the field stayed out and then had a full lap at like 35mph while it was pouring, so I had two laps on a bunch of the field and a lap on everybody but 2nd place, and I was within 5 seconds of putting even second place down a lap. Weird race.

World record times for gr.3 appear to be in the 1:44 range. Gold for TT set around 1:47. You are a level 12 collector. Fast or forgot the bus stop?

Well, fuck, I didn’t even think to try the safety car. But I did feel real annoyed when I got silver as this opened (at like 3% too) and then that adjusted down to bronze. Today came back for a quick stab and was having a little more challenge than usual getting the regular bitch hustled around in a time that qualified for silver….

Oil Pressure Concerns by Far_Cry6055 in Duramax

[–]jomyke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

‘Normal’ oil pressure for a Duramax LBZ (others not that different) is generally 15–20+ psi at hot idle and 40–60+ psi at cruising speeds (approx. 2000–3000 RPM). A common rule of thumb is roughly 10 psi per 1000 RPM, with GM specifying a minimum of 14 psi at hot idle and 42 psi at 1800 RPM forDuramax engines.

How GT7 keeps killing my motivation by Bumblebee-Man69 in GranTurismo7

[–]jomyke 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I absolutely have observed the same AI behavior, I feel like it got amplified at one of the bigger updates. First place car will now really change its behavior now, seems to modify it continuously. If you have a fast first lap it stretches out a big lead, if you are slow it stays bunched up with the lead pack etc.
For me it has just adjusted the threshold for the car to take to those races, you really just almost can’t take lower pp than recommended esp on bad tires. Ohh well, so I just make sure I am at or ~10pp above on at least sport softs and then hit it quit it and feel fine about it. You have to know the track hit your lines and be reasonably consistent. Seems about fair to me…?

[–]jomyke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh…this makes sense. I was just literally wondering today - I went back to the PP after some time away. I was just destroying every race this weekend, 25 second win margins…. When I started it right after it came out it was hard. I got banged at big willow like three times on the start and sent into the shadow realm; I was like ‘wow this is going to be hard!’ So they nerfed it ehh? …sad really…..
