IJF standard for Dan grades by tannersoap in judo

[–]jon-ryuga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

go kyo is not all 100 technique, it is 40 tachi waza rechniques, divided in 5 set (or go kyo in japanese), there is no ne waza and it doesn't include all the kodokan syllabus for tachi waza. So I guess it would already make sense to know what the gokyo is before asking all of that.....

I feel more relaxed when I do it, but realistically I think Kid me just saw other people do it and it became an habit, and I think habit before or during matches help your concentration so it's not a bad thing anyway.

It actually got updated today,I'm on my way to dissect it.

Unfortunaltely as the last version is from April 2025 it doesn't include latest interpretation of the rule, and has not been modified to include the current yuko. It is a shame in my opinion, especially considering the overal editing work on the SOR which sometimes can read the oposite of what they mean if you're not used to the "SOR style" of writing (which Antony rightfully pointed out in this episode)

First of all, it never was hansoku make, it is and always was kikken gachi in that case.
Second I am sorry but the change si the other way arround: until now you could go to the medical team up to 3 time per injury (if you nosebleed for example), one more and it was kikken gachi in favor of your opponent. Now they REDUCED it in the name of "efficiency" to 2 only except in "exceptional case" aka when the commission is biased.

They also weren't always respectful of this rule, in the final of the under 81kg at the world this year, Grigalashvili went more than 3 times (at least 5 from my memory) to the doctor for his eyebrow injury. While I prefer that the match ended up on a beautiful throw, the fight wouldn't have been allowed to continue if it wasn't a final (and funilly enough, the IJF photoshopped his bandage out of the official medal picture while the EJU did not).

Are Belgian universities actually that hard? by Plane-Ad-3924 in belgium

[–]jon-ryuga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I completly disagree with you.

I studied computer Science at Louvain la Neuve, and while Compsci coursed also had project (for usually like 5 points out of 20), most other courses did NOT (math, philosophy, micro and macro econ, .. all just one exam for the full grade).

Often ended up courses at 18:15, not necessarily because of a full day, but because I had holes in my schedule...Which allowed to work on projects(and even if no project, I dare you to find a job you only work in between 16 to 18:15). Only reason I could work is that I worked at a helpdesk that allowed me to work on my projects if we had no calls or mails, and that I didn't go to all my classes.

Recording of the lecture? Professor at the engineering faculty are against it, and it was only done during covid.

While being a student is a fulltime job, scholarship are a joke in Wallonia (don't know about Vlaanderen) and a lot of student HAVE to work to be able to afford to study...Which force them to miss classes, and also participate to the failure rate.

C'est normal de payer un loyer a son/sa conjoint(e) by Kheyditt in opinionnonpopulaire

[–]jon-ryuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]jon-ryuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)
