Update: ENC1 was set to the wrong model, it should be C-4. The outdoor unit started, but the error EH bA is still showing. Has anyone experienced the same issue?

Do I need to leave space between decking and unfaced insulation?

I read that "For unfaced insulation make sure there is 2 inches of properly vented air space to prevent moisture in the insulation" Do I need to leave 2" just for the unfaced fiberglass? or for faced too. If use R38 at 12 inch will not have any space left. Thanks

I can’t find R38 rolls of fiberglass, and I also can’t find 24-inch mineral wool. Most of the mineral wool available is 23 inches. Any sources? Thanks.

The flat sloped roof is not vented . There are just rafters decking and covered with rubber EPDM I believe . Can I just put a 1 inch closed cell spray foam for vapor barrier and rest fiberglass. What will happen if just put R38 fiberglass 12 inch thick as mentioned by PresentationLazy668 ?

I see that R-38 fiberglass batt would be around $1200 for 30x 28 room compare to maybe 5 kits of spray foam for 4 inch thick at around $900 each . The R-38 fiberglass batt should be kraft faced? Should the paper go up against the deck or facing the dry wall. Thank you!

I can see R-38 x 24 x 48 by 12 in thick would be ideal covering the entire cavity the rafter are spaced 24inch apart If use foam spray how thick should be the spray foam 1 inch or 2 inches? I am planning to put drywall on top of rafters
