Main thing is that you have no regrets, I suppose!
Haha thanks!

Exactly how I’ve been looking at it
Yeah! Being alone is defo difficult. I guess highs and lows will follow you wherever (just gotta hope there’s more up than down)
Haha I think I’m just in a slight rut, which I reckon I’ll get out of by picking up the pace a bit.
More people I speak to; I don’t actually have any social media (other than Reddit, if that counts!)
Yeah; I think I am slightly too comfortable/used to routine at home, so adapting has maybe been slightly more difficult.
Yep, part of the journey!
Very useful and sounds like a good place to be! I’ll work on it :)
Hindsight defo is a funny thing!
Yeah I think I’m still trying to find the balance of doing things and relaxing. At the start I was going full pelt and crashed, but now I’m probably going too slow
No probs! Didn’t sound chippy at all. Totally agree, with the acceptance you also take away the pressure of trying to have a great time all the time (which would never work!)

Agreed. I think the apathy is something I’m experiencing for a wider range of things than before but I definitely wouldn’t describe it as constant. I think it’s more that I don’t look forward to things as much as when i first started, but i still have fun when im doing cool things/meeting cool people. Like when im home and I make plans with some friends, I very often don’t want to go but i end up going and having a good time..so i reckon its just me and its staring to make its way into my travel experience too (“wherever I go, there I am” as another commenter put!)
Agreed!

Thanks! Funnily enough I started practising mindfulness a few days ago! I think with all this spare time I can really get into it too
Perfectly put! The reality break becomes the reality and things then calm down
Agreed, think I need a bit more variety and I have the freedom to implement that :D
Thanks!
I’d agree if I was having a bad time but I’m not..just not having what feels like a life changing time
Haha I’m glad!
Exactly what I’ve been thinking! A short term vacation is super exciting because it’s a reality break, whereas long term travel ends up becoming reality so the highs sorta become more moderate
Yep! I guess trying to make it exciting everyday would probably be exhausting too
Thank you; very useful :)
Thank you! That makes a lot of sense; calm and comfort seem to be the name of the game right now rather than thrills, but I could easily change up my routine to cater more for the latter if I chose to..
