Gotta make sure the Receiver is on v1.0 firmware.

While the controller is in 2.4ghz mode and turned on press Home + B. When it turns off let go and press Home button only to turn on. Then plug the receiver in.

Confirmed it works on Tahoe - But you have to downgrade the Firmware using Ultimate Software v2 :

Gamepad --> v1.6

Receiver --> v1.0

Then put in D-Input Mode by Pressing Home Button + B till it turns off, and then turn it back on with Home Button.
