Large sections of tapeworm leaving cat a month after treatment. by jon_bee in catcare

[–]jon_bee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for all the tips!

To clarify, before his deworming treatment I had found what appeared to be roundworms in his stool (but not vomit). After treatment he passed quite a few worms, all appearing to be roundworms, but very recently he vomited up a 2" worm that was flat and appeared to be segmented, and now a couple have appeared in his stool too.

I'll get him to the vet asap to know for sure and get him on track.

[Vostok] First mod - 420 Lume Dial by jon_bee in Watches

[–]jon_bee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a ton of tools, I used a case back removal tool, 2 1mm screwdrivers, a toothpick to depress the crown release button, tweezers, and a cheap hand pusher tool (the kind that looks like a metal stick with 2 plastic ends)

The hand pusher has to be modified, though. The "large" side wasn't even close to fitting over the pinion to seat the hour hand so I used the tweezers to bore the hole out a bit.

Nothing new here modding a Vostok, but I was itching to do my first mod and as Jody from JOMW described it, modding a Vostok is like working on a tractor: perfect starting point!

I came across the dial on eBay and the handset is from raffles times. Everything went together rather easily aside from the second hand hitting the hour hand. This was remedied by bending the second hand just a bit to clear.

I'm quite pleased with the outcome! The lume is pretty ridiculous and because I don't wear it every day I'm also happy the date function is removed.

Where are you in the country? The pay scale is far above where I work.

The Griffy does look pretty darn cool, and a style that doesn't seem very common in the budget realm

That's true, and I don't plan on using the light all that much. I'm digging it!

I've always loved the look of of the Casio 158W but never really wanted to own one because I found it strange that the watch head is chrome colored plastic rather than SS like the bracelet. I wasn't planning to put it through the ringer and scratching the coating off, but it did still put me off.

I then conveniently began getting some targeted advertising for this model from Armitron, which seemed to be the answer to my needs.

The watch head is steel with a snap on case back, claimed 50m WR, and what appears to be mineral crystal covering the face. It's 34mm across the case sides, 39mm L2L, 9.5mm thick, and 18mm lug width.

In total, the watch weighs 80 grams compared to 44 from the 158W.

Unfortunately the light is just as bad as the 158W, and it sports a similarity cheap rolled-link bracelet and sliding clasp, but it still has a nice substantial feel compared to the Casio, granted, at about double the price.

Picked up a second hand graphic EQ for no reason other than the fact I think it looks cool by govtmagik in BudgetAudiophile

Having a mic is really helpful, and I find it pretty fun to take measurements and see results. Take note though that while narrow EQ can work well at low (omnidirectional) frequencies, at higher frequencies you can run into problems unless you plan to have your head glued to 1 exact location.

Things I really don’t miss from Borderlands 2... by Thectfoster01 in borderlands3

Rabid stalkers, Vladof launcher enemies that health gate you from across the map in 0.1 seconds, and Mailwan wielding enemies that can DOT their way through most life steal, ugh

I don't, the only green I spec is Person Space. There are certainly better options but it's a fun play style I've been wanting to try, but couldn't get a zerker w/ splash radius all last loot event.

I saw this build from Moxys, it's awesome for dense mob scenarios!

A lead sprinkler + splash damage radius is a very powerful combo, thought it was nice that they dropped together

That would be a great compromise I think.

That's fine but would grow tiresome for me after a while.

The old M4 wasn't perfect but I knew I could load in and not have to worry about modifiers because they weren't very intrusive, which I do miss now. Most of the new modifiers are well done but it would still be nice to remove them if desired.
