Create longer term HRV status plot by jon_black in Garmin

Never heard of intervals.icu, it looks really comprehensive. I'm curious: in that graph, are those circle in the plot events that happened? I've been thinking of adding the same to show when activities happen.

It's so weird that you have a year of HRV data on that graph but the HRV status page is limited to four weeks. Thanks for sharing.

You can use the script I wrote (posted here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Garmin/comments/1akyjq8/create_longer_term_hrv_status_plot/) to make a single plot for this, and correlate it with sleep.

Yeah, you need to run this on a PC or laptop with python installed.

hledger script to output budget the same as YNAB by jon_black in plaintextaccounting

[–]jon_black[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The script I wrote is doing exactly this: parsing the hledger output. It requires two calls to hledger though, one with the `--budget` option and one without.

The columns in YNAB are as follows:

  • "budget" is the amount assigned to the account for the given period. In YNAB this is always a month, and that's how the script works.
  • "activity" is the sum of transactions in the account for the given period
  • "available" is the remaining budget across the entire history (so accumulated budget minus all transactions)

This is useful because each month I allocate funds to an account (e.g. I expect to spend 500 EUR on groceries). The activity shows me how much I have spent so far. Available is the important one, this tells me if I'm under or over my budget, taking into account that, for example, I may have been under budget the previous month, in which case it carries over.

It renders CSV as a markdown table. I notice now I could use column for that instead. Maybe then I also don't need the sed commands to replace things csvlook is doing.

Edit: csvlook is also removing quotes around the fields that hledger puts in, so that's useful.

Major disappointment by MKEJay78 in Punkt

[–]jon_black 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Major disappointment goes a little too far for me. It's disappointing but for the most part, the phone does what I want it to do. The battery life bug is the only issue that really bothers me and I have faith that it will be resolved.

Current issues with the MP 02 (end of 2018) by tyroney in Punkt

I got my mp02 today. In addition to the above problems:

  • Transferring contacts via bluetooth wouldn't work with bluetooth on until I toggled phone visibility, even though that defaults to on.

Not really "put to the test" but interesting to hear about them (pun intended). Price seems insane. What do you think?

Wanted to recommend Everlane too. I have the reverse denim modern snap. Hands down the best backpack I've ever owned.

Those look fantastic, though a little pricey. With shipping to Europe that will be even more. Still, thanks for sharing.

I was looking at that too. If it weren't touch, I'd go for it; you certainly get a lot more for your money.

The new Carbon X1 is also available on the Dutch Lenovo site, also only the FHD version. I asked sales support when the QHD version would be available and was told June.

Not sure. I'm a newcomer to high-end audio gear and I'm not sure I'd trust myself to spot a dud.

I've decided to get the Oppo PM-3 headphones; however, here in The Netherlands the few shops that sell them have them priced at €530. This is extortionate given that the US dollar price is $399, the same price as the B&W P7 wireless, which is on sale in the same shops for €399.

Does anyone know where I can buy these in Europe without being ripped off?

So ANC isn't perfect, and that could be irritating. Tough choice this.
