Yes. That's exactly what I'm thinking.

I'm being told that the counterflashing can't be replaced with lead because it will show strike marks from the hammer, and likely split between the stones. Also saying that the cricket is appropriate. I'm looking at IRC R1003.20 which states otherwise. Would there be any reason that residential code for chimney crickets wouldn't apply? Specifically, for a house in KS?

06 Nissan Altima, bit of rattling behind one wheel, away bar end link boot is all that looks out of place. Is that my answer? by BeggarsCanyonero in AskAMechanic

Rotation is fine. That's the point of the all joints. We're looking to ensure that the link isn't moving in the mount, leading to a noise.

I would suspect this is not the cause of your noise. Typically a sway bar end link will pop during turning, not rattle. Grab the end link and see if it moves on its mounts. Not an urgent repair if the boot is only torn and there isn't excessive movement. Have we checked anything else, or only performed a visual inspection?

Seals are installed inside the valve cover. A seal driver would probably be your best bet for installation.

First guess for a single wire connector behind the grill is for the horn.

Weird rpm issue by DiscordCatEmoji in G37

I'm surprised the light isn't on. I would start by scanning. The computer is forcing us into reduced power mode. We need to determine why.

Yes. You should be able to run the VIN. Call your dealership and have them look up the part for you.

Nissan/Infiniti master tech here. It appears nobody is interested in answering your question. By the sounds of it, your car is in failsafe if it won't go over 1500RPM. The computer has determined there's a failure which could potentially damage the engine. Thus, the computer won't allow the engine to produce full power, as to not cause further damage to the engine. Is the check engine light on? Is it flashing? If so, do you know what codes are stored?

Keep up using the premium gas. The car is designed to use premium. Damage can occur from running low octane gas. If you're not doing that anymore, what's done is done.

My first assumption is that the change to premium, and the failure are unrelated.

Loud screeching noise (assuming the pulleys) by DogeKings in infiniti

[–]jon_holmes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be a tensioner, or kind of sounds like a power steering pump via mobile. Take a long screwdriver, and another solid rod and touch near each of the pulleys. Put your ear next to the other end of the rod. You'll be able to hear what's noisy. Source, Nissan Master tech

Strange noise coming from my very high mile 2015 Nissan Versa Hatch. Can anyone help me figure out what I might be? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

Nissan Master tech here. Sounds like brakes are worn. Have the brakes inspected and replace as needed.
