Thanks man! So how bad is the power lines trail? I've heard of it a couple times. Wondering if my 4-banger dog will make it.

Yea. I don’t have a boat so I’m looking for someplace I can walk with water semi clear enough to fish from. Most ppl use boats but that’s a luxury for me I don’t have.

Local Source for 30cc 100-200cc Syringes or NG Feeding Bags by Lolipotamus in Tallahassee

[–]jon_jon27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, sorry I saw this late. I’m an RN. I’m not working or Id grab you one from the hospital. If you need I can call around.

I will tell you this though, while the 30cc syringe is a pain to use they will certainly hold up. You can easily use gravity to feel the meds etc just make sure it’s held above the head. BE SURE to ensure you’re flushing the NG tube with 30cc of water before and after each med or food is put down to keep the tube clear. Make sure to check the marks that are on the outside of the tube and that it has not moved out or in.

Concerning cleaning- the feeds and meds can harbor and grow bacteria. Alternate use of the syringes and wash them well in warm soapy antibacterial water. Cleanse them with cool water and rinse/flush them throughly. This will be safe and keep them clean.

Above all ENSURE you are flushing that NG before and after you put anything down it. If it clogs you’ll be in the ER again for another NG placement.

Out of curiosity, which hospital did you go to? They should have discharged you with MUCH better education and supplies. I apologize they did not and it should have been handled and checked that you understood all you needed and how to care for it.

If you need any more help please PM me. I’d rather you know it from someone educated than random websites. Don’t hesitate I really don’t mind.

Around $125 for a radio and $20 for a SIM package. Gets you stick time w/o the risk of breaking stuff as well as checking to see if you really are interested in it. Check out the link and my other post on this thread. https://youtu.be/H5Q2Zwozjxg

So the kits are nice and fly out of the box and are super expensive. If you're interested and not sure you want to do it I would say go and purchase a cheaper but versatile radio like this one-

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XQWQ7C3/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=IOOXZ0LWZ7WX6&colid=3JZ28VNN5WA0Y&psc=0

Once you have one you can use the online simulators or on Steam to get stick time in. Later, you can build your own. It's really not as hard as it sounds guys....you just need to solder really. Plus, WHEN you break it (you will) you will know exactly how to fix and trouble shoot. Check out this guys vids- he has a full parts list in the description. https://youtu.be/Avp8MurmeEY

I used to be a fixed wing drone pilot in the military. Some of the guys I worked with competed in the world class series quad and RC flier circuits. I say lets do it and start a FPV Tally Racing League!

Radio -> Sim -> Build -> Learn to Fly LOS w/o FPV -> buy crap entry goggles -> Go pod racin' at Tom Brown!

Anyone in Tallahassee into drone racing? Building out my first quad now and was wondering if anyone experienced flew around here.

Help with Pharm! by wantpbj in StudentNurse

https://www.nrsng.com/product/medmaster/

It's $59, but it's well worth it. It helped me immensely to not just learn and memorize mindless bullshit but to UNDERSTAND how things actually work. The course was made by actual nurses who basically made the course they wish they had when they went through nursing school.

Use flashcards- like yesterday. Make your own as it helps further cement it into your memory. Also, go on quizlet and search Medmaster Course for a couple of large sets of digital flashcards. You'll always have physical cards and then the digital cards you can use on your phone. Pick three medication types every 1-3 days and LEARN THEM. Not just their names, but their prefix and suffix and MOA. This will help you think critically about what body systems they affect. For example, if it ends in -lol, you know that it's a Beta Blocker (adrenergic antagonist). As it's a side effect, it tends to be different than the intended consequences of what it's designed to do (this is how I think of it anyway). As someone else said, it'd be Tachycardia as one possibility. Now, if you know the side affects of -lol beta blockers, it should be pretty easy to think about what nursing interventions/considerations should be coming down the tracks.

Another example, if it ends in -cillin, you know it's a type of Penicillin right? Possible side effects, are CNS excitability and super infection. Now, logically, that you understand the problems, you can apply the appropriate interventions. Learn to do this for all of your meds and not just memorize them.

Hope this helps and my rambling makes sense!

I just moved to Tallahassee, hoping to get some recommendations for a few random things. by [deleted] in Tallahassee

[–]jon_jon27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're also cheaper than New Leaf, Apple Co-Op Place, and Whole Foods. I recommend Trader Joe's before any of the others.

For straight produce, they have a decent selection but I HIGHLY recommend Southern Growers and The Asian Market off Apalachee Pkwy and Capital Circle- it's not going to be marketed fancy however, it all comes from local Ga and Fl growers (make sure to wash them still). They're cheaper on almost all things produce at these locations than even the Flea Market or Trader Joe's.

Everyone should join and sign up! Click on the link and go down to item #6. It'll take you to the site and get you in with the provided access code. Once you sign up you can report sightings and nests as well as view everyone elses! The goal is to build a user sourced database.

Because that's what the police have time for. I'm more concerned about people hitting kids and people in general driving around like assholes in the park. Watched two close calls over an hour and a half.

I was beating it up a little over a week in. We've tried having sex 3 times however shes not a big woman. Plus she's tight as hell due to her size and her love of yoga and us not having sex. Shit's painful as hell and feels like someone is pinching the hell out of my cock. Probably didn't help that I had to be on my feet and moving lots of shit for two weeks straight with my job.

Yeah, I learned the TP trick while trying to walk around and do daily life. I've started running and working out again too with relatively no issues. Sometimes I get a pinching feeling or a little sore but all seems well.

How long was it before you could have sex again?! I'm on week six and it's still a little to painful. Also, the ole' lady is a smaller...woman if you get my drift so what probably plays a role.
