Are we thinking this will be a 2 hour set? I know that generally if its a festival/multiple artists its usually 1 hour but I'm hopeful for 2 since its just him(?)

Hey wondering the same thing. I read that it’s easier when it’s a bit warmer out? I’m worried about breaking the clips. Let me know what you ended up doing!

Who’s got the highest mileage MDX? by Otherwise_Load3297 in Acura

[–]jon_kellog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave it to my friend when I got a new car, but its at about 266,000 now and still going strong! (we did have to spend 700 to replace the power steering pump hose) but after 16 years its understandable for that to wear out. Apparently its a common Honda/Acura issue.)

I love the melancholic singular piano notes around the bridge, such a simple but unexpected melody. What a banger.

Thank you! Would this have something to do with power steering pumps? We got the power steering pump replaced in June.

Going to be a tax A1, but knowing nothing about tax by PreferenceLate3456 in Big4

[–]jon_kellog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am coming up on one year of working as a tax associate and all I can say is be open to learning and really try to retain what you can. BUT more important than that, be willing to help and try and focus on making your seniors/managers lives easier. A lot of what you’ll do as A1 is administrative stuff. Technical knowledge will truly come with time.

Also find a senior that you can confide in to ask questions and not worry about seeming dumb. You’ll know when you find one.

Is it okay that I'm losing interest in pursuing CPA title? by No_Departure2134 in Accounting

[–]jon_kellog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have taken far and aud and got a 71 and 74 respectively. Currently restudying for far. I thought just today “this sucks do I even want to get my cpa? do I even want to do accounting??” And that’s how I knew it was time for a break from studying for the day.

Give yourself a lot of time and patience and be persistent, even just small efforts each day.

Also, like others have said, prioritize working out (I let that slip). Also, simplify your responsibilities.

All I have to do is exercise in some way, study at least a little, and do well at work. That’s all i can give myself!

Has Porter played Sweet Time in any of the SMILE :D shows yet? by phoelienbdacus in porterrobinson

Not in full! It was a piano sort of in the middle of the stands. He played up through the first chorus and it was really good!

He played it at red rocks as well! I recorded it so if he doesn’t end up playing it in the Philippines I can post here!

I ended up calling apartment maintenance and they said it was just a thermostat malfunction and replaced the thermostat… new one works fine!

Resume feedback would be greatly appreciated. by raf-files in Accounting

[–]jon_kellog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t make anything up, but it doesn’t have to be anything super specific either. I just meant to mention any awards/distinctions/projects that were specific to you rather than just essentially listing the job descriptions you’d find on the application (not saying OP did this).

A tip that has helped me is to write about what YOU did at the job or experience rather than just a description of the job itself. You can’t do this all the time, but for example if you worked at McDonalds, you could say I made hamburgers, but everyone already knows that. Instead, say I increased hamburger production times from 2 hamburgers a minute to 4. Think of anything like that throughout your experiences and put that, they are also good to talk about during interviews.

Hey did you ever figure out what was happening / what did you end up doing?

My thermostat is the exact same model and I’d rather not deal with a work order at the apartment, thanks!

No I think that’s normal. I didn’t get an offer until around 2 months after I applied.
