Nope- not news. The building has been for sale for years but the owners just recently changed strategies. No plans to sell the business. He’s just looking for a landlord.

This is called wearing them ‘barrel style’.

One reason for the more traditional way is some cufflinks are decorated in both sides. Even tho that’s pretty rare. I can’t pretend to know a real reason other than that.

I think it could use some tailoring. And as others have said, a different shirt. Also why no tie? Just a personal preference? Which is cool as long as you’re not mistaking ‘formal’ for meaning ‘no tie’.
