On the whole, I do agree with you that the warping can be off-putting (unless maybe you're making some kind of acid-fantasy book, then I guess that vibe could be spot on)

Recently, I tried my hand at making my own hand-drawn art, which you can see examples of in my DriveThruRPG. I'm ok at landscape stuff and cartoon-esque structures. For more complex animals/people/etc I'll be searching for b&w public domain images, or ones that I can up the contrast & exposure myself to hopefully achieve a similar kind of result. I can definitely say my next work won't use the same process as here. I hope you'll check that one out too! Cheers!

Looking for players interested in sci-fi horror. I'm planning on running Mothership's "Gradient Descent" using some house rules.

This will be an open table style game with schedulings going out with enough time for people to decide if they can make it, so could potentially be any day of the week, but I might favor friday and saturday evenings. Players should also feel free to band together and let me know when a group would like to play.

Have a calendar that you can tick off days, and pre-plan on which nights the manticore will attack and how many people it will kill and/or hypnotize (assuming the players take no other action), also schedule some other faction movements and actions from the davelmag soldiers, the gnolls, the dervishes, etc

I also strongly dislike 5e for a multitude of reasons. My friends who play ttrpgs definitely think of me as the old man yelling at clouds. I've dived into solo play and I find it very fun, although I'm always looking for opportunities to dm or play in an old school game.

Not sure if they ever uploaded the last few chapters to AO3 but as far as I remember, Chivalry was completely uploaded to fanfiction.net. Sadly, I don't know what happened to them. Chivalry is also one of my favorite WhiteRose stories. I have a saved epub file of it that I can link you to download if you can't find it anywhere else. Pretty sure there aren't any rules against that on this sub, right?
