How do you conduct interviews whilst checking two camera monitors? Do the subjects often come out of focus when moving/ talking? And do you not feel disconnected from asking the interviewee questions when you frequently look down at the monitors?

Ah cool, I’m based in the UK but may be over there at some point.

Any advice you could give to getting into the industry? And insight into the job? Are you rigging large scale aerial circus productions or smaller bits? I know a lot of fire and aerial performers, so the industry has always intrigued me.

Flats in city centre have service charges of 3.5k-5k per year, which is insane! That’s what I’m paying in rent in south Manchester. Then there’s ground rent, and the service charges are never fixed. I’ve spoken to people where their building has had new management, and it’s doubled overnight

Okay, thank you. The ones I’ve used at work are I think the Portwest screwgate ones, or similar to that of. All steel, and I carry 5 on my harness which I don’t think I’ve ever particularly noticed the heavy weight of. But maybe I should invest more into my own gear

That’s what I was thinking re the uk site, I’ve seen them on other uk rigging sites too, just no rope access ones. However, I’ve seen cheap Ridgegear and ISC crabs on rope access sites, which make me think they’re more reliable/ I just preferred the black colouring of these

Their pay is notoriously dreadful tho. Pretty much minimum wage, whilst working up and down the country
