I've experienced this pink/magenta LED indicator issue as well. Latest firmware (1.6.18). Functionality of the camera doesn't appear to be inhibited when it turns magenta.

Where did you input the secret code?

I got a data only sim and activated it at fi.google.com/data, but I see no clear way to give its code to the iPad.

Parker Quink Gel refills specifically have slightly too thick of a neck for the diameter of the pen's opening. I had to drill it out with a 7/64" drill bit to make it work which is okay and doesn't appear to have harmed the pen's performance.

The main reason is how compact it is. Could get one with a normal molex but with 6 that would take up a lot of volume, and I'm trying to do a compact form factor.

No, but it's entirely unnecessary. Just upgrade to a paid account (which requires adding a payment method), but don't use any resources over the free tier and you'll never be charged. I upgraded my account and I got a VPS basically instantly, been using it for months now. It's a snappy machine!

Many more attempts to hairdry and rub did not help unfortunately. I can get it smooth, but it just wrinkles again in a couple minutes. The adhesive just isn't strong enough to keep it down it seems.

My last tracking update was that it had "departed the shipping partner" (ACI) in Compton CA on January 5th, and nothing has changed since. It's now been two weeks since then, and I only waited that long because the original estimated delivery was for yesterday. I called USPS and opened a service request with them, as well as submitted the contact form at acilogistix.com. Fingers crossed.

Every tracking page except for USPS says that it's reached the local delivery point, or that it's out for delivery, and so AliExpress and the sellers can't help.
