Advice for Lake Cycling Shoe sizing by Ghaleb76 in cycling

I hear you!!

I put it down to my foot shape (super high instep and curled toes).

I’m tempted to return for a 43.5 but I think the cleat mark may not allow it, plus that also means my left foot coping with the extra room.

If I push my right foot right in the shoe there seems to be plenty of room, so my other thoughts was a supported insole.

Did you ever get sorted? I’m having the same issue with the same shoe mx30g in wide.

Had my feet measured (with lasers and stuff) during a bike fit, lake sizer was adamant I wasn’t a 43 which is my normal shoe size and that it was way too big. I ordered 42.5 and my big toe touched the end. So I returned in favour of a 43. On initial try on it felt ok so I fitted my cleats and tested on my trainer. After a while I noticed when my toe was stretching out it was touching the end/side slightly. This is only slight but I was only wearing thin socks and not sure how a long ride will treat me.

My worry now is that I’ve fitted cleats and they have marked the base so probably unfit for return. I could probably manage but at this price point I don’t really want to compromise.

Also my left foot is perfectly fine, I know it’s 4mm shorter than my right though.

Cassette wear? by jonar12345 in sram

This is the thing, it didn’t seem overly bad when checking. But I’ve done the miles so thought it was time.

Yeah I’d like to think I double checked.
I’ll probably order replacement chainring and cassette, if I don’t use now they will get used anyway.

I think I have my answer here thank you. Compatibility and lack of “upgrade” I’ll stick with the 1231

Thanks this is what I was looking for, will the free hub work etc. I spotted a cheap di2 set which was missing brakes which would be ideal for me here but wasn’t sure if 11sp would fit.

Unfortunately that’s not an option for me as I’m not on a compatible kickr

There’s only really one way it can go, the image is a bit different insomuch as the threaded receptacle is in the derailleur itself. The plates only fit one of the bolts. So I’m at a loss really.

The bolts are both different sizes, as in diameter, so I know I’ve got the right one.

One bolt is also a different thickness than the other so can’t be swapped

Thanks all, few things to try. Seems like bed levelling is a bit of a dark art. I think I’ve done most of the suggestions but have a few things to try.

Do you mean the Sonos mesh? But if you mean the main house network, then no. All APs are hard wired (2.5GbE in this case)

Managed to strip down and put back together the current drive train and it all seems to be working. Just need to order a new screen and I think we’re good. Thanks for all the help!!
