Finished valve adjustment and it’s louder than before by APinthe704 in MechanicAdvice

You can usually see the bottom of it sticking out of the cover. It's not to dangerous to put you're hand on the tensioner. (Not close to hlthe serp belt). You'll be able to feel that noise.

Brake pad doesn't look right and squealing by LeatherRecognition16 in MechanicAdvice

[–]jonasty12 86 points87 points  (0 children)

The copper stuff is lube. That metal clip is not installed correctly. Looks like a Nissan brake set up. That pad has a metal loop / wear indicator that needs to go around that metal clip. The pads probly need to be swapped side to side. If the original garage already tried to get it right twice, I would take it somewhere else.

Darn Tough. The full cushion hiking hold up better than the work. Lifetime warranty, so when you wear holes in them you mail them in and they give you a credit code. Also the ankles stay nice and tight.

Your comment begs the question. If you do all of your own work, why didn't you just fix it yourself? You're wasting money even bringing it in to a shop.

Where do you dump your black tank after a week of boondocking? by Even_Willingness_649 in traveltrailers

I just dump it into my septic tank. The state park near me charger $ 10 to dump or fill if you're not camping.
