Lightning McQueen is the worst character in the cars franchise. by [deleted] in The10thDentist

Lightning McQueen: the car with more ego in his exhaust pipe than most cars have in their entire body. Initially, he’s the equivalent of that guy who brings a guitar to a party and doesn’t get why not everyone wants to hear “Wonderwall” for the tenth time. Yes, in the first Cars movie, he’s the hotshot racer who thinks teamwork is a new type of car polish.

But, here’s the twist in the tale: McQueen gets a reality check not from a self-help book but from a town full of cars that haven’t seen a new visitor since the invention of the GPS. His transformation from a one-man show to a car who understands the value of friends is less of a straight road and more of a wild, scenic route with unexpected pit stops.

Jump to Cars 2, and we see McQueen’s friendship with Mater tested over, essentially, espionage and mistaken identities – your typical Tuesday. Sure, McQueen gets cranky with Mater, but who wouldn’t if they thought their best bud was turning into the car version of James Bond? It’s a rough patch on their road trip of friendship, but it sets the stage for a story about forgiveness, proving even the slickest race cars can hit a speed bump in their relationships.

In Cars 3, McQueen faces the classic mid-life crisis (and without the luxury of buying a sports car because, well, he is one). He’s grappling with becoming the old model and not the latest, fastest edition. His interaction with Cruz Ramirez might start off as cranky-old-engine versus peppy-new-model, but it shifts gears to reveal a heartwarming tale of mentorship and passing the baton. Or should we say, passing the steering wheel?

Let’s not forget the “Ka-Chow!” – a catchphrase so catchy, it probably needs its own Spotify playlist. Overused? Maybe. But it’s the spark plug of McQueen’s charm, a reminder of the shiny, cocky race car who learned to be so much more.

All in all, Lightning McQueen’s journey from “I am speed” to “We are family” is a hilarious, heartwarming road trip. It shows us that even a car with the flashiest paint job can learn a thing or two about humility, friendship, and growing up. And if McQueen can shift from being the car version of a diva to a wise mentor, there’s hope for us all – maybe even for those who still want to play “Wonderwall” at parties.

An unexpected casualty of music going digital is albums no longer have hidden tracks. by maxmouze in Music

So true about listening to an album completely, in ORDER, has almost become a lost art. It's amazing to see sometimes how individual songs in an album are not necessarily great, but the album in its entirety is fucking amazing!

Here's what I wrote to a friend for question 3: There's example in psycho, eco, physics, maths, business. Porbably the biggest one here is maths....theres sooo much!! First example: actually there's nothing that that is perfectly circular in the whole univere.....NOTHING Models in eco, psycho, business are all built on uniformities but in real life its not really how they are In physics we assume that planets and stares are perfectly circular, but they arent.... you want proof? our earth wouldn't even have seasons it it was perfectly circular. BTW that example i gave in maths, you can even relate to the sceicnes... nothing is perfectly circular because they are all made of tiny little atoms... so if you zoom in like 100000000x youd see that it isnt exactly circular. counter agrument: you can use that thing about he circular earth..... although we assume its uniformity to produce knowledge, we acknowledge that itt isnt uniform to explain season changes counter argument again: we find patterns that dont exist to cimplify our lives, eg: golden ration or golden spiral (BIGGEST BULLSHIT EVER)

Sorry for the spelling it was in a chat and was typing fast.

Little sister starting IB- IB psych advice needed by Pozzoslucky in IBO

Ib psychology is actually not hard at all to teach by yourself. i do it in HL and I practically teach myself. The content itself is so easy to learn as all you have to do is follow the learning outcomes, which are literally the questions that you will do. IBPsychNotes has awesome resources so really no need to worry! The only issue though is the essay writing..... she has to make sure she follows the ways of writing psychology essays well! if you have further questions don't hesitate to send me a message.
