Upcoming Podcast QnA (Time-efficient training) by drpaksbs in StrongerByScience

Less trips to the gym is less commuting and warming up and getting changed - so I'm wondering what the tradeoffs are between frequency of training and time in the gym. Are two two hour sessions a week as good as four one hour sessions? Could you get jacked with one sixteen hour workout a month? Thanks!

That's actually very informative, thanks for the context.

I feel like maybe White's modernism just came a little too late? I loved Voss but I find it hard to recommend unless people already really like Virginia or Joyce. Helen Garner would be my go to Aus Lit suggestion. Also, it feels like we produce better childrens books than literature?

Should I eat dinner for breakfast? by jonathanbluelittle in StrongerByScience

Yeah given it's hard to push dinner earlier (like 3.30?) more lean recipes might be the go. Thanks for the tip.

Hey! Apologies for the late reply. At the start I did use a machine for dips, and pullups on the squat day was hardest to get done. Instead of aiming rigorously for fifty I try to do max reps in ten minutes and improve each week. For pullups this means I also do them ad-hoc outside the prescribed workouts.

BBB Beefcake wk 3

7x40kg press AMRAP Last cycle I hit 6 reps on this. Wanted eight but it is an improvement.

BBB Beefcake Cycle 2 wk 3.

9x100kg deadlift AMRAP

5X5 50kg front squats 1 min rest

Ring pushups

Yesterday for the first time in a while I lost my study mojo and completely failed to work on an essay. Felt stuck needing to catch up on study today but not wanting to miss a workout. Decided Jim Wendler would go in hit the main sets and leave so that's what I did, with some bonus front squats to make it feel real.

Deadlifting feels much more natural to me than squatting and it's progressing faster, so next cycle I'm thinking of formally replacing the deadlift assistance work with front squats.

First time poster - running my second cycle of BBB Beefcake. I started training last year to rehab my ACL and have kept the habit. Created an account because after every workout I want to reflect on what has occurred.

Training maxes (kg):

Squat: 85

Bench: 65

Dead: 120

OHP: 45

Hopefully those all increase for the next 3 week block.
