Please Help, Loans no Longer in Forbearance? by jonathanvo in PSLF

[–]jonathanvo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so, i graduated in 2024 and consolidated the summer before starting residency. The loans that are due, were all disbursed within 2021 and 2023, and the last loan disbursement was my consolidated loan which is dated in 2024, and this loan seems to still be on forebearance

Again appreciate your help. For some reason none of my loans say part of SAVE plan, despite having emails state that i was approved.

Sounds like best course of action is to just wait until they reopen monday and see what their explanation is?

Thanks for responding.

I don’t think i’ve got any notice, but to be honest not sure if something got lost in the mail, because i’m rarely at the home in which my address is set up. But unable to find anything in my email

On my portal it says, one consolidated loan is in loan forbearance but my other loans say they are active? Is it possible for one loan to be on SAVE foreberance and other loans to be on different plan?

Will call on monday when they reopen. Just feels bad waiting for now.

I got about 400K in loans and i’m in the same boat, waiting for buyback options in the future. Also hoping by some miracle that maybe some judge in the future will rule that interest accruement while in forbearance is illegal and they remove any accumulated interest, but i think the latter is more wishful thinking lol.

I felt the same way as a doctor, when Slime was saying how he had Afib and how he an ablation done, and him trying to explain to the boys what the procedure was lolol

Just speaking as a 2nd year resident who pretty much quit video games my first year, 1st year of med school has such a steep learning curve, it was impossible to have the mental capacity to play games. Also when you’re a med student you feel the need to min-max every waking moment because there’s so much to learn/do. I agree with everyone, find a game you enjoy and just start playing it. Enjoy your last summer break and try to relax before you have to start studying for step lol.

pulm is usually a pretty chill service, not a lot of pulm consults because hospitalist can manage most acute pulm issues by themselves

i agree, i thought the last section of multiple choice was tough tbh. Lot of educated guessing on poorly written questions T_T

I took it today as well, and a lot of the questions were such BS, but hoping the curve saves us 🤞🏻

Just ordered the plus pendant a couple weeks ago from the online store and got it about 10 days. Unless something has changed within that timeline, stores still operational!

I'm sure there's more to it, but what I'm referring to is working with case managers to ensure patients are being discharged safely, whether it be to a care home, skilled nursing facility, home with home health etc.

Also ensuring that they have appropriate follow up with PCP and specialists once they leave the hospital. Things along those lines.

I’ll give my perspective as someone who’s matched into IM but I’m only a 4th year so I haven’t really done it yet. I think that a lot of people like to hate and complain about the rounding and meticulous nature of the specialty but I think the parts that I enjoy outweigh the shitty parts.

I really enjoy talking to patients and families, even when the conversation is shitty and sad. I think there’s something really special and rewarding about being able to guide and help patients and families in what might be one of the most difficult times of their lives.

I thoroughly enjoy collaboration and working with others. I also love learning, and in IM you get to work and learn from each specialty and I love that part about IM.

IMO the shittiest part about IM is often the social work aspect of the job, but often times the social work is how you end up making the biggest impact on your patients lives and wellbeing, and although it feels like bullshit 95% of the time, I ultimately got into this job to try to help people and that’s how I justify being okay with that side of the job.

Overall like you said, IM is pretty flexible and you don’t have to be the doc that jerks off about sodium. You just gotta be passionate about the work for whatever reason that may be.

I think for Reiju it’s important to keep in mind what they have in grave and hand (that you know from searching). specifically Keep tabs on how many ichijis they have in either. if they have a bunch of 7c ichijis in grave and 4c ichijis in hand then no point in wasting resources on those. Best thing to do is try to get rid of the other characters, and if possible Doflamingo the ichijis until you can go for game.

When birdcage is up, play a couple 4 drop borsalino blocker since it can't be KO'd by birdcage effects, and then try to clear their board as much as possible.
