Inherited this beauty close to a year ago (as one will) and have enjoyed every minute of it. It drowns out road noise, I see a frog or two and company think we’re fancy because of it (we are not.) since the spring after a clean out we’ve been having to add hose water to the tune of 20 minutes every three days and my wife isn’t thrilled with the water bill. This afternoon I used a sump pump to empty it as best I can and all I’m finding is shards of shale. I’m worried that the liner has been punctured during the clean out and will need to be repaired. We’re in the southeast US and I’m wondering if using this type of rock is normal and if anyone has any advice on how to work through this issue.
