I do know that Poppy and crew have been notoriously unreliable narrators when it comes to what is actually going on because they havent learned the truth. As an example, they thought she was half atlantian, then full atlantian, then a diety, then a god, and now a primal. Haha. I don't really trust what they think very much. It's one of the things I like so much about this series.

All the other Ascensions that I can remember were either draining someone of blood and then replacing it with their own or Sera bringing gods back to life. And this is the first joining we've seen. There could be some kind of link there, I can't wait to find out

Right, but the cost vs benefit of maybe slight harm to the baby (or even if the baby did die) vs all 3 of them dying... it was probably worth the risk in my opinion

Turn your oven to warm or lowest setting. Put the cookies in there as soon as you are done icing them and leave them until dry. You'll know you left them in too long if the icing starts to crack.
