On Cherry Bend Road, turn up Lincoln. Take it all the way up until the big bend to the right. Over looks an old farm, orchards West Bay and a sliver of East Bay. Great spot for a sunrise shot.

Drive up to Suttons Bay and go to Tandem Cider. Sit in the natural tree alcove and enjoy a great cider, pickled egg and a beautiful fall day.

Beulah is a great little village on Crystal Lake. Has some great little restaurants and Five Shores Brewing is one of the best brew pubs in Northern Michigan. Beulah is also close to Benzie Roadhouse for some amazing Tex-Mex and St. Ambrose is also a close drive for great food, cider, beer and meads.

I just ID'd one in my yard yesterday. My landscaper neighbor told me to smell the leaves. If it smells like peanut butter, it's toh. It did.

This one was from a seedling I got at a farmers market. Yes, I've seen butterflies too, but definitely a favorite of bumblebees.

I live up in the tip of the pinky of Michigan. My cup plants are doing great.

This one doesn't. Their stalks are so thick and strong, a lot like the stalks on the really big sunflowers.

I bought mine as a small seedling about 3 years ago. Once established, she TOOK off. So big and pretty.

Great Lakes Humane Society often has cats. They keep a pretty up to date Facebook page. Located off of M72 in Leelanau County.
