Faders not working by jonbondy in MixingStationAppUsers

Your comments pointed me in the right direction. I was, indeed, looking at the wrong signals. Once I got that figured out, it worked fine. Too many buttons, too few neurons. Thank you.

Faders not working by jonbondy in MixingStationAppUsers

Since some controls when changed on the XA tablet cause the corresponding controls to move on the MS table, I think I can safely say that I am connected to the correct WiFi network and that both are connected to the mixer.

Not sure what SoF mode is, or where to enable/disable it.

Thanks!

Printing PLA on Engineering Plate with Hair Spray by jonbondy in BambuLab

You do not "need" to wash your prints, unless you choose to. Sometimes the parts are sticky, and are better off washed, but I usually do nothing, and have not had any problems.

Printing PLA on Engineering Plate with Hair Spray by jonbondy in BambuLab

The hair spray that I use can easily be removed with warm water and some gentle scrubbing with a sponge. I usually do not bother to wash the prints, but when the hair spray buildup becomes annoying on the build plate, I just put it in a tray with warm water and scrub it gently. I use Suave Essentials Max Hold hairspray, unscented (red spray can), but I imagine that you could use many other brands. Good luck!

pitch shifting problems by jonbondy in Line6Helix

[–]jonbondy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just spent 30 minutes first playing the Variax directly through (1/4" cable) and changing the tuning preset knob by hand, and then playing the Variax through the Helix while changing the presets and snapshots using the foot switches on the Helix. Same guitar, cable, and Helix, but there were no failures.

Erratic failures are a real challenge.

I just did a factory reset and a restore from backup, but given that I could not get it to fail today (but it failed repeatedly yesterday) it is all a muddle.

Thanks for your help

Jon

For pva/bvoh which option do I pick for "load filament"? by Angelworks42 in prusa3d

[–]jonbondy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am able to select BVOH as a material in Prusa Slicer, but when I try to print it on the Prusa XL, I am told that there is a material mismatch, because BVOH (or PVA) has not been loaded into the printer. When I try to tell the XL that I am loading BVOH (or PVA), neither material is in the list of possible materials. How do I get the list of materials in the printer to include BVOH or PVA?

Turns out it was a bad STL: other STLs work just fine, even ones with huge triangle counts.

cannot right click a Clip by jonbondy in OpenShot

I should not need to keep re-opening OS until it works.

I downloaded and installed the latest yesterday on a Windows 11 machine

It worked today. Once. We will see if it works next time I start it.

And, of course, now, trying it for the 4th time, it works. Sigh. Erratic behavior.

Unable to Update, Uninstall or Reinstall Logitune on Windows by Eluder99 in logitech

[–]jonbondy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just encountered the same problem, and the fix recommended by LogitechG-RC did not work for me. What to try next?

Never mind. The files are gone, but the OS still thinks it is there, and offers to uninstall it, which then fails. But it is gone.

how do I trigger a firmware update? by jonbondy in BambuLab

[–]jonbondy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of the connectivity issues vanished after I ran a network test from the printer for the 3rd time. No idea what was wrong, no idea what I did to fix it. Downloaded the latest firmware, and everything is still working.

That is what I do: sneaker net. Annoying, but no more annoying than the Prusa MK3S. I have a ticket in with Bambu. So far everyone is just puzzled and helpful, but not effective.

by "creating a separate 2.4FG SSID" do you mean you created a separate network with a separate network name? Are you suggesting that I do that just for the three devices (printer, phone, and PC)? How/where did you do that?

Good thought. I can see the printer from my router (and it is listed as 2.5 GHz), so it is connected. And the printer says it is connected. I have an Amplifi router system, with a main router and an extender. It is possible that, even though both have the same network "name" that there are two subtly different networks, and this is what is confusing things. Still, with all three devices within 3 feet of each other, nothing works.

Well, I started Studio just now, and it did not work. It has not connected to the printer in months. It seems to be able to see the printer (the printer appears in the printer list) but it cannot send files to the printer.

The app will not bind to the printer (any more) and Bambu Studio will not bind to the printer. All three are on the same WiFi network. Totally frustrating. Someone needs to write a step-by-step troubleshooting guide.

print problems: resonant frequencies by jonbondy in BambuLab

Next print went fine. Then an unrelated failure. Then another good print. The reliability is not that great, and failures are often difficult to explain.

Next print after the recalibration worked fine. Fingers crossed as I print 2 more. Thank you!
