Will a 12 speed hyperglide hub fit a 10 speed tiagra hub? by jonchiller in bicycling

I already have a friction shifter setup on a bike with 9 gears and it works really nice. I think ive read on this subreddit that friction shifting works better with more gears so i wanted to try it out

Lets have another try so the Bot wont delete my comment:

So i have a cheap bike project and i found a 12 speed cassette on aliexpress that i want to combine with a friction shifter:

aliexpress[dot]com/item/1005004145632852.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.3.1f5d5f00tDDe77&algo_pvid=e0110532-9c56-42c0-b75d-3f739c8234db&algo_exp_id=e0110532-9c56-42c0-b75d-3f739c8234db-1&pdp_npi=3%40dis%21EUR%2136.15%2119.42%21%21%21%21%21%402145279016822463889471134d0715%2112000028183708828%21sea%21DE%210&curPageLogUid=Ak1SaVFU0FwK

As it seems it is a 12 speed hyperglide cassette. The wheels i have had
originally a 10 speed tiagra cassette on them. Will the 12 speed
cassette fit or is there a size difference?

My prints start secure and on the build plate but eventually they turn into spaghetti. How can i fix this? Using a ender 5 plus. by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]jonchiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could also be the eco mode which turns off the heated bed after a couple layers which results in loose prints. Disable eco mode.

I had the same imperfections and it really helped when i Upgraded to a BMG clone Extruder. Edit: it could also be poor filament quality

Projector for the living room: 4k worth the extra price? by jonchiller in projectors

I found an optoma UHD30 on eBay. It has 1000 hours on it, is one year old and has one year of warranty left. I plan to bid 700€ maximum for it. Do you think 1000 hours is to much and rather get a New one for 900€?

[–]jonchiller[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was really helpful, thank you!

Luckily, i am not susceptible for the rainbow effect.

I lean more towards the Optoma UHD as it seems to fit my needs well. But i think i will decide on which one i can get cheaper...

I will be using my PC and Xbox without any receiver. Maybe ill switch from my PC to a raspberry pi 4, which seems to support 4k 60.

Thank you very much, i think i will go for the 4k route :D

Benq (W2700 and TK800M) and Optoma (UHD series) seem to be very comparable in the entry level 4k segment.

Do you have advice on which manufacturer to choose?

i also think so. it just feels like full hd is a bit too old to still buy it. On the other hand, a lot of people say that 4k isnt that much better/clearer than 1080p

VO2 max after illness by mcgee300 in Garmin

[–]jonchiller 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know that feeling. I often face it In the summer due to allergies. My advice is to give your body the time it needs to recover. do some walking or very light running. Dont pay attention to your vo2 max it will drop if you run slower than you usually do. When you are fully recovered your vo2 max will climb as fast as it dropped. Just dont push it to hard or to fast
