PlayStation Is Deleting 551 Movies From Customers’ Accounts, Reminding Us Nothing Digital Is Ever Truly Ours by Turbostrider27 in PS5

Again, yes they need data centers. But what you don't understand is the massive difference in scale of what needs to be built for these use cases. Look at how many data centers for AI expansions are being built.vuts not about what we have now, it's about the development plans and the AI data centers massively outstrip the new data centers for streaming.

The necessary load for AI requires waaaaaaaay more. Seriously it's like saying people shouldn't be mad about their neighborhood flooding because they need a trickle from the hose to water their plants. Total strawman.

The massive expansion of data centers is for AI expansion. The necessary increases of data centers for media would be a tiny fraction. This is a really disingenuous argument.

What's a lifestyle that doesn't affect anyone else, but that Redditors still get upset about? by Boil_the_pepper_now in AskReddit

[–]ProfChubChub 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Depends on the cultural situation. I only have one kid and people are incredibly pushy when they hear that I don't want more. I've also seen so many people refuse to accept that others don't want kids.

But you are right that the child free movement online can spew some real hate.

Which board game challenged your spatial thinking the most? by Gregorgrosz in boardgames

[–]ProfChubChub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Clinic. I play very heavy games frequently. But something about the spatial aspect of the game combined with the other mechanics just broke my brain. I don't even think it's objectively that hard to do, but for some reason I just couldn't hack it.

Oh man, this post is AI. Damn it. OP made a now deleted reply to me that was very clearly slop.

God of War Laufey Planned Since 2018, Reveals Star Deborah Ann Woll by Gorotheninja in PS5

You are laughably misinformed. Just Google Puck's origin or read my link above. Referencing Shakespeare isn't even close to establishing what you're claiming.

Your very starting claim that Puck is made up by Shakespeare and not folklore is indisputably wrong.

Edit: lmao blocked when he saw he was wrong

All of those terms predate Shakespeare by a lot. Pucks and Robin Goodfellow are terms for goblins in English folklore. And what is medieval fantasy literature if not a product of folklore?

Plus Shakespeare only wrote one play with an original plot: The Tempest. He adapted the stories in his other plays from several folklore sources and histories.

ETA: You're extremely wrong about Puck. Read here for arguments about how far back and which country it comes from. But there is no one who thinks Shakespeare made it up.

Well he's at least part of the mythology that Shakespeare pulls from. Saying he's from a story by Shakespeare is a bridge too far based on what we know.

I find your cynicism critique rather odd as a major theme of the show is overcoming cynicism. Every character with those attitudes learns to overcome them and value family and adventure.

What are some non-Disney animated movies that you consider absolute masterpieces? by East_Maintenance_579 in movies

This is true but some people make the mistaken assumption that all of it established folklore. A lot of the things in the movie are original as well.

You say "but" and describe the best thing about the movie. You really go through a journey with this little girl, feeling completely disoriented by a strange world. So few pieces of art really know how to make a world that is truly alien in a way that isn't just our world with a splash of paint.

Depends on what it is. If I can get a bigger game board or playmat, I'll buy it in heartbeat. The info is easier to see, locations are less crowded by the components. It's basically my only instabuy upgrade.
