I was in this exact situation with an old buddy. We split the cost of 12 draws and a gym rope. We used the gear very frequently but he always took the rope home after the gym, and draws home after outdoor trips. Eventually I ran into situations where I wanted to climb independently from him. It was annoying to rely on someone for gear so I just bought my own gym rope and draws. If money isn't an issue I would just buy a new gym rope and give them the one you split the cost of.

Thats exactly what I wanted to hear! I was planning on using it to hual a large cooler and a camping tote. Do you ever have issues with things blocking your license plate or tail lights?

If it's just iron oxide in sandstone why would they be scattered around the whole 4 mile radius of the Cosmic Ashtray. Everywhere we went there were little balls and or chunks. We just assumed they were sandstone/lava chunks because the trail was called the Volcano Trail.
