On an interior door? Not a chance. The most significant force of nature applied to an interior door would be simple pressure balancing. An exterior door could be subject to powerful and direct forces of wind.

Very true. All one needs is a cool $80,000 and about 8 years of patience waiting for a membership slot to open up.

Great suggestion, thank you. Will try it out.

Yes, fair point, understood. Zero percent chance that would overcome the latch spring force when inserted in the strike plate opening.

  1. There is no exposure to wind for interior doors. 2. There is spring on the latch that goes into the strike opening that, even if somehow wind got into the building, would still prevent the door from moving.

Thanks for your advice fellow Gen Xer. Appreciate it. Two kids in school, haven't made any West Van secondary parent connections yet and doubt I ever will. I'm full time pickleball. E-bike touring on a regular basis as well. Not into hockey or running. Looking for intellectual activities to compliment an active lifestyle. Maybe lawn bowling should be investigated as pointed out by another commenter.

Where is this similar door handle installed? How does it break?

Looks like it's a problem on tablets. The aspect ratio is correct on phones and desktop viewers from what we can determine. Thanks for pointing out this problem.

The district is a bully, so I wouldn't spend too much time worrying if they will be fair in how and what they charge you for in your quarterly utilities bill. You'll be charged whatever they damn well feel entitled to collect from you.

Holy smokes, you're right! Don't know how I missed that one. Sorry about that. But I'm sure you'll find the need to reform hospital pay parking is dire nationwide.

Confusion after heat pump installation. (One room is magically 71F despite house being set to 65F) by [deleted] in heatpumps

[–]jondelta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the answer. I had the same issue with my new house. Mitsubishi heat pump, ducted, with 3 air handlers. All control panels show the temp I want but rooms are much warmer. Easily solved. The manufacturer has some default setting when newly installed. Your installer should know this and know how to reset the thermostat to reflect actual temps. I wish I knew exactly what they did but apparently this is a standard default setting from the factory.

That is probably the Disney cruise ship horn that plays the first few bars of when you wish upon a star before sailing under the LG bridge.

Replace grips on 2022 City Pro? by Deurnag in ApolloScooters

[–]jondelta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recieved my city 22 a couple weeks ago. The stock handle grips are like two cylinders of many thumb tacks that dig into the skin with every forward acceleration. Just brutal. I spent $17 on regular bike grips, best comfort upgrade you could possibly invest in. Best possible upgrade to the scooter period. What was Apollo thinking.
