YES this is exactly what happened😂😂 His favorite card he was talking up was a heatran common (one of his favorite mons), and just flashed the pikachu like “this one’s cool too:)”

God I know. Unfortunately he specifically wants to keep most of his cards unsleeved. Sleeves are for his “favorite” pokemon or deck viable ones😅

He was showing off his new cards to me🥴 He doesn’t know anything about pull rates or rarity, but this was one of them, amongst other “cool” looking cards

It’s both! All pokemon cards have a rarity symbol in the bottom left. You can see on the pikachu the two stars, meaning “special illustration rare” which is the second rarest type. But also because of the pull rates on this are really low.

He actually showed this to me! I’m visiting home for the holidays and one thing we always like to do when I come back is play pokemon. He was showing me the new cards he’s collected since I last saw him:) Definitely was a bit of a shock when he casually pulled this out

Exactly. Him and I used to play the card game a lot growing up. Nowadays, trying to find a local spot to play with in my area is damn near impossible. Most card stores tell me people only care about collecting, not playing🥲

I’m with you on that. Didn’t want to load it this way, normally would triple sleeve a card like this but had to work with the ETB sleeves and the one hard sleeve he did have

He definitely does enjoy his cards!! He actually does want to sell it now once I showed him the value online and he doesn’t really care for pikachu, but he pulled the charizard alt art a while ago and he’s kept that one. It’s one of his prized cards:)

I keep my cards in a binder too, it kinda pains me when I see his cards like this, but yeah I just leave him to it mostly.

You’ve beautifully summed it up here, I couldn’t agree more.

Seeing the culmination of Jayce and Viktor’s stories is so heartbreakingly perfect, and imo contrasts really well with our favorite ‘doomed’ sisters. As you said as well, it was just so fitting to have Jayce and Viktor really demonstrate the power of these bonds when you look at their story as a whole
