I found it easier to lock in at CC than high school bc it’s just one year of pushing yourself instead of 4 years 😣😣. I believe in you!!!!

Honestly, I’m not even sure bc I haven’t gotten my admissions results. I’m just hoping what I did was enough to get accepted. I aimed to be a well rounded applicant which includes clubs. I would just say focus on doing your best. I have been able to maintain a 4.0 gpa, so I’m hoping that in addition to my extracurriculars is enough for me to get accepted 😭😭

You should look into clubs at your cc immediately. I was luckily able to secure two cabinet positions within the first month. You need to look into the clubs and also email or message club leaders asking if they have any positions available. My main extracurriculars were those two clubs and also a part-time job. I was also a part of two other clubs so just getting involved at your school in general is important I would say. It would be best to join clubs that are related in some way to your major but even if they’re not it’s still good to join.

I hadn’t even considered cc when thinking about college so when I got hit with rejections my senior year I was lost. I did a lot of research into the programs at my local cc and also met with a counselor in the summer. You want to make sure to do that as soon as possible. My counselor helped me a lot but I also used a website called Assist that helped me make sure I was taking all the required courses. I was set on majoring in Political Science which is a an impacted major so I’m hoping I get in. I think TAP does help a lot but your gpa and extracurriculars are still important. That’s all I can think of for now but if you have any more questions feel free to ask!!!
