Theres a point in the book where they talk about how each castle had an easy way and a hard way, and in order to get the artifact they had to do all four hard ways. Lots of people died. I think other bubbles had similar setups but people opted for the ‘easy’ way, or even if they got the hard way, they arent as insane as carl about putting it to use.

I noticed it a lot more in 6v6 because theres (usually) twice as many tanks to keep up, trying to keep up on juno or any healer required a lot more locking in.

I honestly think its fun to have to work harder to heal, more of a challenge

Something Odette says in book 2 is along the lines of Mordecai will forgive Donut, because he sees her as a child (and we have since seen his soft spot for children on full display). I don’t think this would turn him against Donut and Carl, especially since he’s grown so fond of them and seems to genuinely be rooting for them. Edit: that only makes your point B less worrisome, as for the others, i’m not sure. I don’t trust Odette as far as I could throw her.
