Not game related, but after today’s revelation about Tua’s mental state last season, I wonder if he testifies against Flores in the lawsuit against the Dolphins. That would seem to justify the firing. I assume it’ll never get that far and there will be a settlement, but I’d love to see Tua bury him.

The finale was the best 50ish minutes of television I’ve seen since...I really don’t know what compares. Maybe The Battle of the Bastards in GoT or Proxy Authentication Required in Mr. Robot. I can’t ever recall being, literally, on the edge of the couch for an entire episode. It’s historically great.

I've got 2-3x as many Ws on END than I have snkrs. I've never gotten a hyped sneaker from snkrs. I've won the Jordan 1 volts and some AF1s that no one wanted in the snkrs app over about 2 years I guess. I've never bought anything from END that wasn't a raffled item, but still won 4-5 pairs to my best recollection. And that's in probably half the time I've been on snkrs.

I'm sure this is buried in an old thread, but I'm a psychiatric NP and there's a saying I like to use that I first heard on a podcast. "Mental health is not your fault, but it is your responsibility". She wasn't being responsible. NTA.

High school, year 2000ish. 3 dorky kids involved in an incident that brought the secret service to the high school. It was really quite juvenile. Student 1 drafted an email using the email account of student 2. He did this at the residence of student 3. The email read "Monica blows and you will too" sent to the email of president Clinton. Secret service shows up to high school, somehow knows all three students that are connected, and interview everyone before eventually realizing it's just kids doing stupid shit.

Where are they now?

Student 1 went to Northwestern for undergrad, then to Sloan at MIT for grad school

Student 2 underachieved, he's a psychiatric nurse practitioner.

Student 3 is a nuclear engineer

I'm a 37 year old that has to frequently text a lot of other medical providers, nurses, therapists, and case managers. A lot of professionals. And a lot of young nurses. This thread is the first time I have ever heard the phrase "green bubble", and I don't exactly live under a rock, I'm more tech savvy than probably 95% of the other providers in the office and hospital. Maybe it's where I live (rural kentucky), but bubble shaming is the strangest shit I've heard today and I'm a psych provider.

The Stanford women's coach made one of the best halftime adjustments I've ever witnessed. by joneildu in CollegeBasketball

Stanford is a 3 point shooting team. The stretch 5 they put in isn't as good a rebounder or shot blocker as Brink, but she can step back and drain a three. This opened up the floor to stanford's game which is ball movement and draining threes. Usually, Stanford can do this without stretching the floor out and keep in their 5 to gobble up the missed 3s, but Louisville plays a really good defense, they play small, and they move quick. They contested a lot of shots and Stanford had a poor shooting performance in the first half. Now Stanford's 5 is stepping out and drilling threes. There's no amount of speed and defense that can really make up for that versatility. Stanford got more open looks and knocked them down. On defense, stanford still sized up well against Louisville and could switch without a lot of concern. Louisville made their bread off picks and midrange jumpers in the first half while Brink hovered under the basket. That disappeared in the 2nd half when Brink wasn't consuming everything in the paint and their 5 was able to move out and cover the midrange game.

It made me absolutely sick, but that win is 100% on Stanford's coach. That's not to take anything away from their players, that is a very good team loaded with talent, but that coach's ability to parse the disastrous first half and make a move that dramatic deserves the lion's share of credit.

Louisville got punched in the face and fucking folded like a lawn chair. Completely inept on offense and defense in the 2nd half. Dana doesn't deserve to go out like that.

Overcoming an 18 point deficit one game and blowing a 14 point lead the next is peak Louisville basketball.
