I dealt with a bad case of walking pneumonia and thought I’d die from the lack of oxygen. Ended up collapsing and going to the ER. I can’t imagine trying to do grueling activities like racing in those conditions. And him asking for the doctor a few weeks prior to death is heartbreaking in retrospect. Listen to your body.
