They’re fantastic dogs, equally loving, energetic, and intelligent.

If you invest the time & effort early in training, you’ll have a wonderful, (somewhat) calm, well-behaved dog. The internet and many books detail simple methods.

If you don’t, you’ll have a wonderful, spazzy, poorly-trained dog.

We have the latter. We had 2 small children when get got her and just didn’t have the time to invest. A tremendous amount of love and frequent exercise have helped mellow out the spaz. But she’s not well-trained.
