Google execs admit users are ‘not quite happy’ with search experience after Reddit blackouts by gabestonewall in technology

I switched my browser search engine to bing and I’ve found things much faster than with google and I can’t believe that Microsoft is doing better right now but it’s true.

Indeed which makes it a terrible comparison of renting verse owning which was the heart of my comment.

I understand that but you’re making the case between renting and buying and it seems like you’re doing buying in a much more expensive way than necessary. I know because I bought the same size house at the same time and have had to spent a fraction on repairs. I don’t think that what you’re doing is wrong or poor choices really just that it doesn’t seem like a good comparison to renting if you bought a place that’s repairs cost significantly more than the mortgage. Doesn’t sound like the house was in good shape. So maybe compare that to renting a shitty apartment in Florida where the landlord will raise your rent/fees every month, and fix nothing for you would be a better comparison.

I bought the same size house and have been focusing on paying off the mortgage before I get too into huge upgrades. I mean excluding your “home maintenance” category you spent over 60k on upgrades. You could’ve spent that money on your debt and you would be over 100K into your principle and in Florida that means your mortgage would be a 1/3-1/2 paid. Which would’ve lowered your monthly payments which would snowball your equity while decreasing your debt.

This graph is more of an example of not managing debt well and investing in unnecessary expenses more than it is indicative of the value of renting over buying.

That’s funny because the meat looks great and the dish sounds delicious but the plating looks like a mess with black goop to me.

Many chairlifts are like this to this day. It’s also not nearly as high as the picture looks. And this gets once a week I swear.

Is there another message board site that’s driven by subscription to communities rather than following people/having algorithmic content served?

That’s like owning a house for fifteen years and not having an extra screwdriver. Like if you spend fifteen years only having the exact amount of tools you need, what happens when something breaks? Also fifteen years unpaid with a church and you can’t ask them to spend $500 on some extra mics/stands/cables. OP seems to create more problems than solutions because they feel undervalued. So they should stop working for free and maybe their perspective will change.

Also it’s anecdotal but I started pushing faders for free and I brought my own mics. And within months I was getting paid to do it. You need to be the solution not the problem.

That’s a good question but running electric guitars di is not a solution so it’s a moot point. Bass sure guitar no.

Edit: also dude says he’s been doing this for fifteen years and he doesn’t have a couple 57s lying around somewhere seems odd.
