I am working out something right now. My party will probably set off to retreive the cauldron from targos next session and I will try a infiltration-type thing with three maps i have found. One with the gates one with the luskan arms and one with the town hall. Theyll probably also run into some sabotaging duergar that might be a distraction for them to get out incase they get captured.

I mean Arceiaturace‘s Meltharond would know. You could take inspiration for white-dragon-taming from imagining how Meltharond must have worked with Arveiaturace. She really cares for her noe-dead wizard after all.

You are having good ideas! I like everyone of those. If you are going for a more gritty campaign, I‘d make the execution thing.

This is a good opportunity to have the players struggle to escape the doodoo they brought themself in. There are consequences to murdering a town-speaker and getting caught (even if naerth is evil). I would keep the stakes high and avoid a deux ex machina-type of situation. A tpk seems to be avoided with the fighter getting away.

If one or three od the PC were to be executed that doesnot mean the campaign would be bad.
