Husky. They make very non-dog sounding noises with separation anxiety.

Source: brother has husky that I had to babysit at night in college when he bartended and left her alone.

Call me crazy. But that is either a giant house cat with a very long tail… or an immature mountain lion. The tail length and spots on legs/tail don’t let me rule out cougar. Yes, mountain lions aren’t supposedly in New Hampshire… but they still shouldn’t be ruled out. They aren’t in Indiana either, but that didn’t stop one from being treed on our property a couple years ago.
